I hunted my whole life with a single shot bolt action rifle. You don’t need an AR with a 30 round clip

I hunt with an AR all the time.

So, your “bolt action” doesn’t have a magazine? You can only load one cartridge at a time?
Whether you like it or not, the bolt action rifle was used in more wars than an AR-15 (which has never been used in any war), so which is a “weapon of war”.

It should be illegal at the federal level to not allow hunting and fishing. If those people vote for that, you might as well lop off the entire west coast and let it float away.

Well without the need to hunt it essentially waters down the need for a 2A.

I mean I know you're a fricking moron based on your post history anyway, I just always enjoy these little reminders of just how stupid you really are.

So what is Oregon going to do when their allocation of Dingell-Johnson and Pittman-Robertson Acts money goes away?

Following in Cuba’s footsteps, eh? Why is our gov not stepping in on this communism that is invading? Why are the not protecting our country? For example, Mandami and those like him should already have been perp walked.

There is not a function for federal legislation via voter initiative

Of course “hunting” is not specifically lined out in the 2A. Arms are necessary for a militia. I don’t personally believe that means the militia needs to be already formed (as in a national guard). It stands to reason civilians would form a militia if necessary to defend the Constitution.

Having said that, If modern agriculture, supermarkets, and food systems have made hunting for sustenance obsolete, then firearms lose their last broadly accepted “civilian utility” tied to survival or tradition.

In this world, guns would exist primarily as tools for killing or threatening other people (or as symbolic but ineffective deterrents against a technologically superior government military).

Therefore, any constitutional barrier to strict regulation or outright prohibition becomes an unnecessary obstacle to reducing gun deaths, accidents, and crime—allowing society to treat firearms like other dangerous consumer products that can be heavily restricted or phased out once their original “necessity” vanishes.

I’m not saying this is a completely flawless argument. But it’s what we can expect more of.

Also a complete waste of money as the courts will wreck this on many levels.

Federal land, Native American rights... not a farts chance in a hurricane.

No, this is a bill being pushed due to decades of communist propaganda and foolish, ungrateful people that don’t understand the founding principles of a Nation they appreciate living in yet seek to change

Ah yes. If.

All the while the left attacks farming and ranching as being bad for the environment.
