Hopefully, Iran's disagreement about the meaning of the Strait being "opened" will give Trump a chance to come to his senses and declare this deal dead. Still, you have no negotiating leverage once the other guy realizes you want a deal at all costs.

As I said a few pages back. It feels like Trump wants to hang his legacy on making the "Ultimate Deal" and he sees this situation as the one to cement his legacy.
He is so obsessed with a deal that he has put himself in a corner and is now willing to sign any deal so he can say "See, I got them to the table and made them sign something" and then wave it around like the 2nd iteration of Neville Chamberlain.
He should have instead finished the fight and make them actually beg to come to the table, then slap them around some more, until the only person left to sign something would have been the IRGC toilet cleaner.

If we or any other nation were going to invade them, then this would be big deal and a serious disadvantage for them
But invasion isn't on the table, just capitulation, then they have proven that their drones, missiles, and small boats can be a powerful deterrent and cause havoc throughout the region
There's 0 doubt, or should be, in any one's mind that our military can do whatever it wants to over, around, or inside Iran's borders. Unfortunately that's not the game that is being played

Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well. Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly. In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened.
