Ali al-Tahar Ridge, southern Lebanon
At least 30 Hezbollah terrorist holed up there. Completely surrounded by the IDF, if Israel accomplishes the destruction of this command center it would be a serious loss to Hezbollah.
IRGC will do anything to stop this.
Very important to keep an eye out on this.

Finish it -- there is no viable off ramp given four/five plus decades of track record.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Rubio has taken over negotiations from Vance. This takes place as Israel has just secured Hezbollah’s Northern Headquarters in Lebanon.

It would also represent a massive loss for Iran which used the HQs are their main strategic operating center. All of Hezbollah’s important internal docs are stored there.

How can the IRCG stop it? We haven't heard much about their ground forces, but I don't see any way they could get a sizeable force to southern Lebanon. And it would be a huge mistake to do that if they could. Their air force is kaput. I guess they could bomb Tel Aviv, but that probably wouldn't stop the action in Lebanon. What's left? Bomb Saudi Arabia and Bahrain again? Close the SOH again?

They will launch shitty drones at everyone they can to include Crete and Turkey.
Without Powerdummies heroes Hezbollah etc that kills Iranian proxy influence in the Gulf.

Is this an actual loss for Iran like the 12,000 targets we bombed or a propaganda loss like all the people saying the U.S. lost the war?
It's hard to keep up these days

Militarily against Israel? Nothing directly.
Against the current 60 day ceasefire to apply pressure on Trump?
They could re-mine the SOH, threaten shipping again, close the SOH, start firing missiles and drones again at ships and the GCCs. Basically screw up the 60 day ceasefire and return conditions to what they were before. Those are the cards they have to play.
They think Trump will do anything it takes to keep the SOH open and traffic flowing so that will be the card they play if they can. They believe it will make Trump come down on Israel to stop the advances and to withdraw.

Israeli forces have seized Hezbollah's underground Southern Front headquarters in southern Lebanon, a fortified complex that served as the organization's primary command-and-control center for operations against northern Israel.
Hopefully Israel can create its own security here. The Lebanese might be glad to be rid of this.

I agree. Lebanon would be much better off if it wasn't being held hostage by Hezbollah constantly and being made an unwilling vassal state of the Islamic Republic.

If Trump pulls strings to stop Israel from taking out the scum they have surrounded, I will officially be off of the path that we have taken. We should have finished the job already.
I can get on board with a cease fire only if the ultimate goal of the cease fire is to end the regime with less damage and casualties to surrounding countries and our military.
But if Israel has terrorist surrounded and Trump lets them go then I am out.
We will see.

A sign of a Ghalibaf-led coup inside the Islamic Republic? Parliament has been suspended for over 100 days, with no end in sight.
At the center of it is Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, who has emerged as the regime’s most powerful figure and a key advocate of the proposed agreement with the United States.
According to regime insiders, parliamentary oversight has been effectively shut down.
Ministers cannot be impeached, challenges to the government are being blocked, and even routine parliamentary functions have reportedly been frozen.
At the same time, Ghalibaf appears to be consolidating power while crushing anti-negotiation dissent from within the regime itself. MPs and insiders opposed to the emerging agreement with the United States are increasingly facing censorship, legal threats, political isolation, or outright marginalization.
? Regime insiders are being censored on state television.
? Dissident MPs are facing prosecution.
? Parliament has reportedly been neutralized.
? Power is increasingly being concentrated in fewer hands.
The Islamic Republic has always been a heavily vetted dictatorship with a parliament that exists in name only.
But now, even the regime’s own controlled dissent and internal checks appear to be under assault as power becomes increasingly centralized.

Agreed.
It's pretty embarrassing to have Iran dictate the terms.
