I'm fairly left-wing but not a fan of this in the slightest.
But I've said this before: Obama's a private citizen, I can't make the guy change his mind on things.

Is government mandating that no densely packed events are held? The only way this criticism would make sense is if government had told Obama not to hold a party.
Obama's a private citizen. If the government isn't preventing him from holding a birthday party, I can't make him. It's the role of government to decide whether Obama has breached guidelines or not.
As I've said, he's a private citizen. If the government is allowing him to do it, I'm not sure I can do much to stop him.

Obama may be a private citizen but it's not good optics for a past president to hold a densely packed party when there's a delta variant spreading around. That's why I'm not a fan of this - it doesn't look good politically for a previous president to do this.
And they weren't all masked. The photos make that clear.

My point is that your party doesn’t believe in individual rights, why run to them when it fits your narrative.
The sitting President just said that he’s going to extend the eviction moratorium even though he knows it’s unconstitutional, as it will be tied up in court for a couple months and provide additional relief. Don’t try and point to rights of the private citizen when 0 of your party’s policy reflects that standard.

The virus has a 99.9% chance of recovery. That’s better than like every virus in the history of all time. But no… it’s not 100% so we can’t have fun.
