No one is calling Obama a traitor, everyone is calling Sergeant Berghdal a traitor. People are just outraged that Obama released 5 very high Taliban leaders back into the sandbox.

How would you feel if a terrorist killed your family and that terrorist got released and had the potential to do more harm and possibly kill more of your family or your self?

Except it's on a grater scale. These are terrorist and they were released for a soldier that wondered off/possibly had a moment of thinking to join them. Oh ya don't forget about the soldiers that were killed after this idiot wandered off and they were searching for him.The terrorists should've never left our possession and Sergeant Berghdal if ever proven guilty (which he won't because the press and propaganda is too great) should be sent back to wherever the place where they rescued him.

The Taliban were the ruling government in Afghanistan. They weren't terrorists. The harbored Bin Laden and wouldn't turn him over to the US. Of course it seems like Bin Laden very much had a home in Pakistan too.

He's a soldier and a US citizen. And the value that 5 Taliban officers have to us is about the value of a pack of chewing gum. Even less as they are a liability. Gitmo should be shut down. This seems to be as good of a way to get rid of them as any.

Ive been on the road a lot this weekend and I havent read through the whole thread. I don't know if its been talked about, but did anyone see the dad speak when he was standing next to Obama? He said his son doesn't understand English now and spoke in some Muslim language saying "I'm your father" and Obama was beaming ear to ear.

When I saw that on TV I knew this wasn't a normal American!
Y'all should find the video.

You can't seriously believe the crap you're spewing.

He's a deserter and a traitor, and we just gave up 5 Taliban officers for him. That isn't excusable under any circumstances. This doesn't smell right at all

We just traded 5 of them to get a serviceman back and a ton of Obama haters are calling Obama a traitor. What would they say if we released them for nothing?

I think its a ticking time bomb, as soon or later some of them will die in custody. Then the public outrage will begin. I think it is better to dump them now.

I will only be happy with Obama in this if we try this POS under the UCMJ then hang his arse, then drone strike the 5 terrorist.

And don't forget about all of the violent criminals he recently released out onto American streets.

And don't forget about our southern border that Obama has basically turned into a free for all. Who knows who and what is coming across the border.

Obama is a criminal who should be kicked out of office and right into prison. He has done nothing but weaken the USA in every way possible.

Unfortunately, his actions will lead to the deaths of many more innocent Americans - book it.

I agree. There should be a lot more outrage over this.

I see in the paper this morning that Chuck Hagel said the reason for not informing Congress was because they were afraid of leaks getting out on the swap.

This reminds me of my stepdaughter who informed me one time that she would rather go ahead and do something wrong and then find out was the punishment was instead of knowing the punishment before doing the wrong.Without saying, her and I didn't get along too well.

This admin has the same mindset.

She didn't ask for either one, she just did as she pleased. She wasn't a bad kid, pretty good girl all around. Problem was, she was 13 thinking she was 18.

I'm sure no one else had that problem though.

It's the old "easier to ask forgiveness than to get permission" philosophy.

a pack of chewing gum never conspired to kill anyone.
