Saying "there is a theme of x in this movie" should be fine. I'd ask Chicken directly. Stating a fact isn't discussing that fact.

Getting into the discussion of the politics of that theme should be discussed on here.

No cap.

That isn’t moving to the right. That’s massively pandering.

Some market participants are late to the paradigm shift. That's all you're saying.

After a period of openly using movies to display progressive values, studios seem to be heeding a message from many ticket buyers: Just entertain us.

So the liberal marxist democrats want to be known as progressives. Why are they alwayschanging their name? How often do they change their shoe size. or if it doesn't fit do they still wear them?

Just saw Twisters last weekend. Decent movie, but there were plenty of subtle reference to climate change.

There is not one thing produced these days without hitting most protected classes as characters and an underlying leftist doctrine.

Woke movies have been going on forever, from the anti-war themes in “Wings” to the anti-nuke premise “The China Syndrome”.

The difference is that then, it was but one element of a widely pluralistic entertainment universe and, recently, that more representative universe has been pushed aside to pursue a singular dogma.

Per usual though, the far leftists know nothing of economic production and have run out of other peoples’ money, so they must recalibrate…

ok?

And so for your movie to reach the pinnacle of movie success and be forever immortalized in movie history, you’re required now to be a certain percent gay, follow an approved narrative, and be as non white (on camera, not behind the camera of course) as possible. But that’s all fine because the ruling body who gatekeeps the title of best movies of all time is only a small percentage of the overall industry. Nice take.

Because Hollywood was one of the first strongholds in the Jewish SJW charade.

It was a propaganda center for "marginalized" types and still is. Will forever be, regardless of the bones they toss normal folks.

Movies often reflect cultural trends.

During/after WW2, you had lots of patriotic, conservative fare.

The social revolution of the late 60s + reaction to Vietnam led to the 70s, which produced lots of major work more Left than what we see today.

Then you can get into the era where I grew up, the late 80s/90s. Movies got real gritty and crime was a focus, b/c that was the period of the worst violent crime in US history. Lots of movies predicting highly dystopian near futures and just general malaise, discontent, fear, etc.

When this societal era ended in the mid-90s, you had a lot lighter fare and hope in movies follow suit. Teen comedies came back big. In music you had pop really explode. The output was bright, fun, funny, etc.

If Godfather were made today, Sonny and Mike would have black wives and Fredo would be their trans sister.

As long as there is a quota system, entertainment isn’t moving back to attract conservative viewers.
