IRS investigates tax fraud, this type of fraud would be more on the DOJ level.

Yes, it will definitely get better with a smaller IRS. I bet you think crime will go down if we defund the police also.

Or they can go after these ngos instead of a waitresses tips. But these ngos would need unreported income because that’s the type of stuff the IRS goes after.

fricking retard.

70% of NGOs do NOT receive government funding.

Is it 70%? Don't forget that many are funded by tax-favored donations and some are even dollar-for-dollar tax credits. The money may have not flowed through government but those are tax payer dollars.

So, your view is that the money you choose to donate to a charity is "really" the government's money?

Interesting.

Hey dumbass, did you ever think the "additional" IRS agents were to ensure this process was protected and turbocharged???????

Ya gotta be an idiot to continue posting.

What percentage get their funding from ANOTHER NGO THAT IS GOVT FUNDED? Clinton foundation was notorious for filtering funds through several NGOs after various govt funds were given.

Another dumbass. Real dumbass.

Interesting.

It's not all that interesting or even hard to understand.

I owe the state of Arizona $10K in state income taxes. I donate $2500 to an education-related NGO. Now I owe $7500 to the state of Arizona.

That's income tax dollars diverted to an NGO without going through gov't and makes your 70% figure meaningless. Not to mention what the poster just ahead of me stated - that a lot of NGOs are funded by other NGOs.

We have to stop sending so much money to the federal government and transition these programs to the state and local levels as originally intended. Let the states deal out their own money. Easier to keep an eye on the money when it's closer to home.

So 30% of "non-government" entities run on government money. Got it.

Why would you even classify as an ngo if you didn't?

Are you simply referring to non-profits?

It is almost as if you let the NGO players individually know an investigation will be opened in 14 business day. Within that time period, if they give themselves up for the illegal activity that is expected to be found, the maximum sentence will be 3 years.

If, however, they fail to turn themselves in before the investigation begins the minimum sentence will be 11 years for any crime conviction thereof.
