These states BUY VOTES with welfare and absurd state employee salaries, benefits and pensions.

Now they want the other states to pay for the votes they bought.

They should go bankrupt and start over.

Doesn't sound like they need a bailout then.

Yes they should all follow the leads of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi as beacons of economic prosperity.

Economic dependency is not economic prosperity. The states you listed are in far better shape than the states in the OP. How a state is able to survive in a worst case scenario is the true test of prosperity.

States might need some help due to sales tax revenue loss BUT not one dime should go to pensions.

This became a political strike the moment it affected the market.

Nor their bloated state employee ranks - that should have been cut by half 30 years ago.

Bingo.

There is a huge difference between high revenue and being solvent.

California has a huge GDP. But it also has massive liabilities which they can’t pay which are far more than the revenue they can bring in.

Absolutely it will happen just as soon as the Dems can accumulate enough political power to do so.

States dont pay money to the federal government

States only get money from the federal government

If a blue state makes horrible financial decisions where the state owes pensions and salaries far above what they can pay it has nothing to do with the federal government at all

Federal taxes are equal across the board
