If they are arresting the worst of the worst, then it will have an impact. Crime is down, but never out in New Orleans.
since this is a federal task force, I am guessing the criminals are not being let out on low/no bond by progressive judges and DA's...

that is a good thing...

I'd also add that people arrested by Troop NOLA aren't handled by the Orleans Parish DA.

Baton Rouge has more murders than New Orleans and that includes the 14 killed in one event. Crime is down and that's just a fact.

Everyone involved. The more important question is who should be fired for not letting NOPD and other law enforcement agencies involved do their jobs before this?

No, they're just convicting way less people.

NOPD always blames the consent decree.

It did a lot to tie their hands for a long time. One could reasonably argue they didn't do much to figure out an effective way to deal with it, and could quibble on whether that was just rank incompetence or deliberate.

I would suggest is was likely some combination of both.

this group has been around (specifically NOLA) since the early 90's. It was originally set up to target gun violence in the housing developments/projects back then. Once the projects were emptied & knocked down, they did the same thing, targeting criminals, mainly violent convicted felons..(kinda hard to believe that violent convicted felons who cant carry guns still carry guns huh..lol). There are more than 1 of these units down here, the FBI, DEA and USMS all have their own task forces with the locals and are quite effective. The majority of the people these guys arrest are career criminals, usually dont make bail and serve substanitial time in prison.

lumped trayvon martin in with unjust police killings last week and he's been following me in every thread i post in bitching about it. pretty unhinged, but typical poli board incel behavior.

So still no admitting that you lied?

“I lied. I was wrong. Trayvon martin was not shot and killed by police. Sandra bland also was not killed by police as she committed suicide by hanging in her cell.”

Was that so hard?

At some point the number of potential victims drops.

the consent decree did not have any effect on the fed task force groups as the nopd guys assigned to them 's only connection to the nopd during the assignment to the unit is their paycheck, that is it. They are a very small groups that will get detailed to the fed task force until their rotation is up..it actually has very little to do with the nopd as an agency.

Certainly not the Left, since you uneducated shitheads never actually address crime by going after the actual criminals, which is what is being done here.
