There isn’t a statewide race in this state that’s more than +2 in any direction. Herschel needs to call DeSantis in for some help though.

New Quinnipiac poll - Georgia

Enough said. It would have been perfectly biased if it were a collaborative with WSB.

So if GA is turning/has turned into a reliable dem state, which state can the Republicans turn to counter it? The Republicans were already behind the 8 ball with GA in their pocket. I had thought that the Republicans made huge strides in WI, PA & MI during Trumps 1st run, but they couldn't build their support in those states and lost them in the very next election.

For everyone bickering about whether Trump or DeSantis should be the Republican candidate, it may not matter if the Republicans have officially lost GA going forward. If GA goes dem in the next Presidential election, the Republican candidate will have to flip WI, PA, MI, and AZ, and probably can't afford to lose any of them.

You need to take a look at the Georgia population. According to the 2020 census, GA is about 51% white and 30% black. If the white population is evenly split Dem/Rep, then a Dem candidate has about a 55% or so advantage. Walker is not picking up black support even though he is black. Warnock probably hitting better than 90% of the Black vote. The big unknown, of course, is turnout. The problem is everybody overlooks the demographic changes.

I’ve been saying this for years but ain’t nobody listening. We’re almost a minority majority state for the first time since 1900. If we can’t persuade hispanics over to the gop we’re in the end stages of running this state. God help us !

I have no dog in the Georgia senatorial fight. I’ll just say that Trump and the Georgia GOP picked a … questionable … candidate because he had name recognition and was once very good at carrying a football. They thought that was all the voters would need to know.

We’ll see.

I understand that several of his personalities are actually really nice guys. Maybe one of them will get elected.

If Kemp wins this year he will be the last Republican Governor for a while. Republican margin of victory has been shrinking every election cycle.

If GA votes for a DEM in that race, holy shite. How bad of a candidate was Walker?

He was always a horrible candidate, and is losing to one of the biggest, bigots in DC.

Georgia gives no frick about this Country, this will be bac to back voting failures. Fact that they voted for walker in primary, or he had no one run against him.

Maybe Senator John Thune's endorsement will get Walker over the line.

I think Vernon Jones would've been a better senate candidate than Herschel. Vernon is an experienced politician in Georgian and with adequate funding I do think he could flip 100,000 black male voters in Georgia. I don't know if Herschel can flip that many black voters.

I mean, it's clear that Trump has no sway in Georgia.

Raffensberger won the primary in a landslide...and Kemp in an even larger landslide.
