New billionaire's tax plan aimed at the 0.0002%

In my past I would normally be dead set against this as a matter of principle. But most of the people on this list are SJWs who asked for this.
So, if that's the way they want it, that's the way they should get it.

quote:
President Biden and Senate Democrats are drafting a plan that would tax the stocks and bonds of the wealthiest 0.0002 percent, an idea popularized in some 2020 campaigns but still not fully supported within the Democratic Party.
The new 'Billionaire Income Tax' is being written by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, a Democrat from Oregon, with input from the Treasury Department and the White House.
As it stands, billionaires use much of their money to buy assets like stocks, which are currently only taxed when they are sold. The new plan would levy annual taxes on those assets for the ultra-rich while they're still in the hands of their owners.

Hmmm, 24 men and a woman who inherited it from her husband Sam.

This is dumb. You earn money - the government takes some. You put that money at risk investing and you wine - the government takes some.
Now, the government will take some just because it is there? Will they give the money back if it loses?

Yeah this looks appealing until it is expanded to include 401Ks and other investments for the common man…. No thanks…
How about SPEND LESS?

Zuckerberg bought the election for the DNC.
It would be poetic justice if the ones he put in power come take his money.

Except him and those like him know they'll never be touched with those hits if they don't want to be. They have the means to make sure their real earnings are quietly moved overseas or into some sort of non-taxpaying entity.

It’s amazing how these dumbfricks ignore the fact that most of these billionaires will simply find a way to move their money to a place where it’ll be untouchable.
Some country, somewhere, will always welcome that type of wealth and tell the globalists to go frick themselves.

This is dumb. How much do you think we’ll actually get from such a tax? Unless it’s $1trillion it’s not impacting govt spend or benefits. It’s just furthers making billionaires pay… which they don’t care. If they did they’d move to Singapore or other place that doesn’t tax incomes.

Did you know that these people gain more per dollar spent on taxes than you do? Why should their benefit be greater than yours?

Glad to see you coming around. Why should those who refuse to work benefit from my willingness to work??

You're the one claiming people in the .0002% are refusing to work.

Agree. This is just a foot in the door to go after those greedy people who work hard and save for the future to redistribute $ to the oppressed.

I haven't been here long but this dude can't possibly be as dumb as the person he plays on the internet, right?

It will start with the top 0.0002% and eventually trickle down to the top 20%. Watch.
Remember the income tax was initially 1% and 3% on high income earners.

I don't why we are levying any taxes, the FED says money doesn't matter. Just print it right?

Nose of the camel under the tent...
First, it's just the billionaires. then multimillionaires. then...
Do NOT fall for this garbage!
We're already taxed enough. The problem isn't taxes, it's SPENDING.
Goddammit, this chits been the same story for 50 + years.
