Thick irony is thick, no?
The silver lining is that the NNACP will once again be forced to accept their irrelevance when these young athletes ignore them. To these young athletes that were given athletic prowess by GOD and have an opportunity to translate it onto being multi-millionaires by their mid-20s, and see any other path to success as irrelevant or impossible, that NIL money is king.
Look at LSU athletes alone. These guys like Leonard Fournette, Tyrann Mathieu and Devin White that came in as kids without much of a future outside of immense potential. You're not going to get kids like that to choose a small, woke university because of progressive politics. These kids become gods of Southern campuses and future millionaires in exchange for 3-4 years of playing college sports. It's a ridiculously good scenario for them.

This MIGHT have worked 5-10 years ago, but now that athletes are going to the University that is the highest bidder, not a chance.

NAACP realized a long time ago that solving problems for black people doesnt help their bottom line.
The money is in manufacturing a grievance culture in which they can whip up their corporate and leftist donors against racial boogeymen while always having a scapegoat to blame when the actual outcomes in black communities don't improve.
Solving problems for blacks would be like a pharma company curing a disease, there's no profit in it.
