The NAACP is calling on Black athletes and fans to boycott the athletic programs of public universities in states that are taking steps that the nation's oldest civil rights group says are restricting Black voting rights.

Launched Tuesday, the "Out of Bounds" campaign urges prospective Black athletes, their families, alumni and fans to "withhold athletic and financial support" from major public universities in states that "have moved to limit, weaken or erase Black voting representation."

If Black athletes participate in the boycott, it could deplete rosters for powerhouse football and basketball programs across the Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference.

If they put this kind of energy into saving black lives, they might actually accomplish something.

The fact that this is what they have to resort to... what's the one thing our race offers that we can take away?

So the NAACP is asking black athletes to forgo the advancement of themselves and their families by boycotting? Am I understanding this correctly?

NAACP currently has more control over black people than slave owners did.

How does 13% of the population think they have a right to control everything ?

And how does 13% of the population cause so many freaking problems ?

Lets see how many 18-22 year old athletes are going to turn down 6 or 7 figures to play college football or basketball so they can listen to the NAACP.

They can't all just go sign with Big Ten schools. Only so many roster spots and NIL funds to go around

Create a culture of "i'm gona get mine" then ask black athletes to do this. Nope!

Is NAACP going to supplement the NIL $ lost from sitting out? Nope!

This is a joke.

The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People)

So we get it, a racist organization is claiming to fight racism.

Policing their own doesn’t “stick it to the white man” - that’s why.

REAL change calls out the BS within themselves too and not just grasping on feelings all the time.
