Public health is important.

Mitigation efforts around the world did virtually nothing, not enough to take away peoples freedoms. Any difference was negligible at best.

Most groups including pretty liberal ones have admitted that masks and social distance did effectively nothing.

You are wrong.

I've said it before. They use the same tactics that the far left and their media arm use when attacking Trump, conservatives. It's mind numbing.

Trump's record with Covid, Fauci, and shite related to that time is awful, and he has no business attacking anyone else over covid.

False. No study has shown that.

Completely different argument. That was even made clear at the time.

It's just a political equal and opposite reaction to all the Trump hate on this board by the Ron supporters.

So 18th per capita even though Florida probably has the highest percentage of seniors in the country dealing with a virus that overwhelmingly impacted seniors (in terms of significant illness/death) all the while not crippling the state's economy?

Sounds like your perception during COVID was right on. Not sure why it isn't anymore.

DeSantis started off in the herd, but really did his homework and made sound policy decisions. He used the limited testing tools to help keep covid out of nursing homes and the elderly population insofar as possible while not trying to strangle the economy for those at low risk.

Ron handled Covid better than Trump.

Trump had the disadvantage of being advised by Fauci, the CDC, and WHO. He was "following the science" of the time. None of us or Trump were privy to the true intent and "knowledge" of the bad advice/politics of Covid at that time.

If only he was in a position to not take Fauci's orders or advice.

DeSantis and Kemp apparently were. And guess who still has jobs while the other sits at home crying all day?

Back in 2022, I saw an age-adjusted chart that showed Florida was in the 30's, while Cali was #3 behind New Jersey and I forget who.

Now compare 2020. You only used 2021. From the same website you used, FLORIDA was 40th in death rate per 100k. Their rate was 56.4.
Here are some other states an their death rate for 2020.
New York - 139.1
New Jersey - 141.6
Illinois - 99.2
California - 68.7

Am I the only that finds this a ridiculous defense of Trump? You're arguing that a chief executive cannot be expected to know when his subordinates are lying, and in fact are conspiring to have the chief executive shitcanned.

Are we supposed to be giving Biden the same pass? He's not a border expert or military planner, and he's definitely not an economist - does he get a pass for the dumpster fires his administration has started?

This is bullshite. The narrative that "everyone was onboard at the time with what was being done" is Democrat-level revisionist history.

I already jokingly addressed it.

He was the President, the leader of the Executive Branch, and Fauci was a member of the Executive Branch.

Totally absurd

And African countries handled covid well because the average age is 19.

We aren't praising African leaders because covid results around the world were due more to luck than leadership.
