Sounds like another college spot opened up for an actual American. Thanks Trump for looking out for our kids and not illegals!

What probably happened to her…

You made all the rest of this up. Her fiancé told us what happened. She had a status given to abused and neglected children who have been removed from their parents and are wards of the state. But this woman was living with her mom when they were both arrested so… she clearly was reunited with her parent.

That's not exactly how the law reads, but nice try. Try reading the statute in full.

I’m all for deporting illegals, but this is well overboard.

I am sympathetic to your stated desire.

BUT - we live in the world we inherited, not the perfect world of our dreams.

I consider our current dilemma as being the only doctor on a battlefield after a bloody year's long struggle where the only logical approach to do the most good is triage.

Knowing that there will be cases where someone in critical condition may have been saved had I devoted 2 full weeks of devoted care to his care.

But also knowing that in those 2 weeks FIFTY other seriously injured victims would perish because of lack of ANY care.

You cannot let the pursuit of perfection be the enemy of what is absolutely necessary for survival of the most.

I liken this to being the owner of a very nice home returning after a 4 year absence only to find that my neighbors had been using it for a dumping ground for his illegal trash recycling operations.

And as I begin cleaning up the smelly infectious pile of crap, he begins filing lawsuits against me for not preserving any possible valuable relics he mistakenly put in there - forcing me to examine every single item and spending weeks, if not months, to obtain unanimous approval from a group of disinterested magistrates in other states before I can remove a single item.

Nope = I am going to back up the largest dump truck I can muster and move that shite out as fast as I can - and attempt to resist the urge to shoot the bastard neighbor right between the eyes. Now, I admit, there may well be a golden watch in that mountain of trash, but I do not have the time, nor the inclination, nor the wealth to do the search, to avoid his loss of HIS fukcin' watch.

Read the italicized part of the post.

The italicized part does not make any sense. There is no such thing as “in the midst“ concerning resident alien status in which you are illegal if you are doing it legally.

She's alright looking but I wouldn't say she's a model.

The federal government is casting a wide net by necessity due to what should be considered a criminal lack of border enforcement by the previous administration. Over time that will change, but until then these events will happen. Such events should be reviewed away from the hullabaloo of mob mentality reacting to the selective reporting of the media, but that takes time and manpower.

I linked the USCIS page earlier in the thread. What part are you contesting?

Very few people are actually against (key word here) deporting illegals, but a lot of people are against this. Too many folks here falsely believe that Visas or procedural technicalities / issues pending legal resolution are not real, and that none of those people wind up in prisons. Too many folks here turn a blind eye when DHS moves to suspend habeas while Homan explains to the public that ICE does not need probable cause to detain people. I’m all for deporting illegals, but this is well overboard.

What a very female approach to looking at this, ma’am.

It’s an assumption to suggest they wind up in Columbia. She was in litigation. The point is these are the immigrants you want here. Why does ICE need to be involved in this type of case? Why not let the process play out?

God they need to teach Civics in school again.

Here is your brief Civics lesson:

ICE is law enforcement. They enforce the law. She broke the law - even if you consider it only a “technicality.” They shouldn’t pick and choose what immigration laws they enforce.

The court/judicial system interprets the laws. They can review the “technicality” and determine the outcome.

Congress makes the laws. If they don’t want this (or thinks their constituents don’t want this) then they change the laws.

It seems like ICE enforcement is doing exactly what they are supposed to do.

Look when you get a drunk driver the police should give him a citation and a court date and then let him drive home drunk.

Because once it's in the court system it's best to let it play out with a judge.

Same with the kiddy porn stuff, why put them in jail... let the court system play out after a summons.

That's the left wing view, no police, just fat Karen's writing citations.

I have absolutely zero problem with her being deported.

Why are we taking “interior design” majors from Colombia? What value is the US getting, other than another imported democrat voter?

Deport her fiancé to

I bet that the dems infesting the government including ICE are behind this for propaganda purposes.

So much vitriol from a person who was accidentally born here. It’s not like you did anything to earn or secure your citizenship.

I was all for the idea of ICE, but they need to fix this shite, get their priorities straight, and respect legal precedent & procedure. There’s nothing crazy or extreme about this argument, and I’m here to tell you it isn’t just the rabid libs attacking law enforcement who feel this way.

If Biden didn’t let in hundreds of thousands of illegals then this wouldn’t be an issue. But he did, so it is. If you want to get mad, go cry to the left. They are the ones responsible. We’re just the grown ups cleaning up the mess the dems made.
