Milley reaction means we need to split IMO

The fact that the Left is defending or even celebrating Milley as a hero, while unsurprising, is just more evidence we can't live together anymore. The intelligence community's fake Russia gate scandal was one thing, but you can't have a significant portion of your citizenry supporting a military coup because it's their political side that benefits. I've pretty much given up hope the two sides in this country can coexist peacefully.

Mate, you're usually one of the most level-headed guys on here. If you're melting, we're fricked. Yeah, this one is really bad. I guess I'm numb to all of it. This guy's thread a few months back was pretty good.

These are the adults the media and the left assured us would restore America's tarnished reputation. Balkanization is the answer. We will never be able to "split" the country or secede, etc. Balkanization and defiance through "sanctuary regions". The country as we know it is already lost.

I never thought I'd say this in all my years, but this country has irreconcilable differences. The divide is too deep. Lines must be drawn. I refuse to be on the left side of the country. It's a sickening place to be.

Just read that - it tracks my evolution on the topic almost precisely.
I need to send this to my son - I outlined these same bullet points to him last week (he doesn't see anything wrong with the election)

It can be peacefully done. A lot of the left wants to split from us. The only people keeping us living together is group of about 50,000 politicians and other government employee (it may not even be that much).

And your answer is to just cede land and title to the very traitors and marxist/socialists who would sell us out for a Klondike bar? No. These people aren't Americans, and they all but scream it in your ear every day. If we ever want peace and security for our children, they are going to have to leave, be driven into the ocean, or buried. The enemy is within.
