He should be removed from his job as speaker for saying this. What an out of touch fool! frick you Mike. Make every trade you and your buddy Pelosi make available to the public 24 hours in advance of it executing so all the rest of us who are trying to "take care of our families" can reap the benefits of your insider trading game.

Then put it in an index fund or find a new career, we’re good with either option.

John Adams gave up his law practice to go to the Constitutional Conventions.

Many of the men that signed the Declaration of Independence lost everything.

Mike, I think you can squeeze by on $174,000 a year.

That’s complete and utter BS. Buy index funds. Most of those clowns aren’t smart enough to trade individual stocks anyway.

They should be allowed to trade just like anyone else. They should also be held to the same insider trading standards as someone regular.

All Trump has to do is come out in favor of congressional stock trading

Dear Speaker Johnson,

Please provide a list of the members of Congress that have lost money while investing in the stock market?

House Speaker Mike Johnson defended stock trading as a necessary income boost that allows members of Congress to "take care of their family."

Johnson noted that Congressional salaries have been frozen since 2009 while speaking to press on Wednesday. "When you adjust for inflation...Congress today is making 31% less than they made in that year. It goes down every year," he said.
He is lying. They vote in pay raises and even voted in housing allowances as so many couldn't afford to live in DC.

Democrats complained people were sleeping in offices and using showers by the gym. Democrats were appalled bumping into some in shower shoes walking down the hall. The democrats are not having sleeping in offices.

"If you stay on this trajectory, you're going to have less qualified people who are willing to make the extreme sacrifice to run for Congress," Johnson warned. "At least let them, like, engage in some stock trading so that they can continue to take care of their family."
Going to the islands on spring break, some owning homes there-is taking care when the working class suffered working 3 jobs to buy eggs.

Qualified, poor people, don't need to make a career out of faking serving people.

Every congress person should list their net worth when they entered congress and when they left Congress. Wonder what that percentage would be?

you could just add limitations like we do with C suite people in public companies. C Suite have to announce 90 days before selling stock in the company. Just make all of congress have to announce 90 days in advance any selling or buying of stock.

Either that or put it behind a trust to stop insider trading.

Sounds so sad when our supposed Republican leaders come out defending shite like this, selling crazy to us like we’re the sheep of the other party who would just buy this as something good.
