We’ve lived right around the corner from Tambolis for 8+ years. We’re maybe a 5 minutes drive away.
I genuinely didn’t even know this place was open. Never been. Never heard a single person talk about it. Never see anyone parked outside. I always assumed it was abandoned.

The ole tolerant left. There are thousands of people on the right that own pizza joints across this country. I bet you couldn't find a single one that would deny service to anyone. They might make fun of dude with tits or something, but they would 100% make it a pie.

Great question.
Memphis crime is incredibly segregated, I guess you could say. Much much more than Nola or Baton Rouge (we lived in both for years). We’re pretty distanced from really any sort of crime in our neck of the woods, but North and South Memphis are complete hellholes.
I’ve certainly seen Nat’l Guard around town, as a whole Memphians seem incredibly happy they’re here (don’t believe the Bs media) and my daughter always tells them “thank you for being here”. That being said, my honest answer to your question is that I truly don’t know.

This is insane, lol. A lot of what the National Guard does is provide assistance during emergencies within their own state. Providing food delivery, resources, help with evacuation, etc. What a complete dumbass. If someone in his family needs assistance they will help them too.

If you go on Reddit, they call for the boycott of restaurants that do serve The Guard. Crazy

To piggyback on your assessment, I don’t know that it has had an overall impact on crime in the city, but it has certainly had an impact on the areas that draw tourism. Those areas are much safer.
Eliminating crime in Memphis is impossible, but you need to control it in the areas that people with money want to go. They have done a good job at that
