Manchin knows EXACTLY the position he's in. A blue senator, in a deeply red state, in a 50/50 senate make up. He has leverage over the D's and uses it (no doubt) to his personal advantage. He can do so because he is smart enough to fool just enough West Virginian's into thinking he's a "moderate" in order to keep getting re-elected.
If you are a conservative or conservative-leaning voter, you need to come to terms with the fact there are NO, NONE, ZERO, "moderate" Democrats. They don't exist. I'm not saying Republicans are much better, but I want to punch a purported "conservative" person in the face when he/she says they like so and so because they are a "moderate" Democrat.

Democrats never lower the prices of anything.
Look for those with jobs to pay more for medicine and energy while those sitting at home without jobs gets medicine and energy costs cut.

This is a drop in the bucket and will not affect the outcome of the midterms one iota. This country is so screwed up, you need a hell of a lot more than this to keep the majority.

What's disgusting about reducing inflation, lowering the cost of prescription drugs and healthcare, and lowering energy costs, while guaranteeing energy security? That's in line with what Americans want, and need.

Just a reminder, the leader of his party's commonsense solution to reduce inflation (from his own mouth mind you) is to spend more and raise taxes. A recipe that not even the most liberal, idiot economists advocate for, because it will make things worse.
