There is. By separating entirely, forever, those that follow the laws and those that are violent.

would you take a compromise and accept hangings? hemp rope is plentiful and cheap.

But you know how some people are against swinging.

So your continued refusal to simply state your opinion on Nancy tells me that my assumption is correct.

You have adopted sexist aristocratic Victorian era male beliefs towards your own sex. Never would have taken you to be one to believe that women are slaves to their emotions, are hormonal beings who cannot, in times of emotional distress, be held accountable for their actions. They are, after all, “only a girl”

I mean, if my assumption is wrong and you are someone who does not hold such antiquated and sexist beliefs toward your own gender, by all means, please correct the record and state that Nancy Clancy is indeed guilty and should, like her children, be strangled to death.

I didnt say that but it is justice for murder, and certain sexual offenses.

Does justice equate to consequences?
Yes.

Of course not but in those cases justice is not dependent on making one whole. It is about consequences for one's actions.

For LWOP look up the escape of Deltra Henderson.

Why waste time and money on getting drugs when rope is readily available and a whole lot cheaper? Plus, it’s reusable and more environmentally friendly.

One sentence. I see it really struck a chord. What informs your ideas about justice other than your feelings? It appears that your feelings are all you have to lean on.

Her situation shows the efficacy of the method of justice you’re defending. We can find anomalies to discredit nearly anything.

Most executions go well. And Im not really concerned about what happened to her.

In my anomaly the warden's step-daughter was murdered. In yours a terrible woman was rendered unconscious and didn't die.

Jacob Morely, a convicted murderer with LWOP escaped last week and is still loose.

Derrick Groves...

Most people serving LWOP remain incarcerated until death. Your personal opinion about the government’s treatment of citizens doesn’t invalidate the limitations placed on the government by the Constitution, especially respecting the 8th amendment.

It is neither cruel or unusual. Nor is it merely my opinion, it is the opinion of millions including astute legal minds.

Again… a bullet or a rope are far cheaper.

i probably value your opinion more than that of “an astute legal mind” fwiw. I just meant that you not caring that the State botched Pike’s execution doesn’t excuse the State botching the execution.

There is no excuse for botching it. I'd really like to know what happened. Maybe it has been told, but I missed it. I simply have a difficult time feeling empathy for someone who wrought so much misery upon others. Now, should she be tortured, no. But I suspect that the experience was not as physically painful as torture or, say, if somehow a firing line or hanging was botched. I believe lethal injection is the most humane and can be achieved painlessly.

I only referred to astute legal minds because you brought up the 8th and there are tomes written about it that are far more informed than my opinion.

And, I appreciate your threads and posts on this board. This choir can be monotone to huge fault.
