You certainly are entitled to be against the death penalty. But your comment gives me pause. Certainly if someone commits a crime, especially a violent one you wouldn't be against incarceration/jail time would you?

In the context of that sentence, I was referring to incarcerating women seeking abortions while advocating against social programs to support pregnant mothers, infants or children.

I am not opposed to incarceration, although I do think the state has a civic responsibility to provide a rehabilitative environment while offenders are in the care, custody and control of the government.

Your welcome!

I don't pass myself off as this important philosopher of the modern times with the narcissism it takes to believe someone is going to take my "writings" seriously in academia or politics either.

Your issue is with the judge, not the corrections official.

My issue is with the power granted to the government to execute its citizens.

Likewise you only care about punishing people through incarceration or execution.

If someone beat, killed, raped, etc someone you cared about, do you think your hatred of the justice system would change?

If that happens, maybe you can ask the state to sentence the person to incarceration at your home so you can rehab them

Have you ever filed a police report or called the cops for anything? If so, does that make you a hypocrite?

I agree in part. Young people who are first timers should get some help. But violent kidnappers, rapists, child molestors and murderers lost that 'right' to rehabilitation.' Three meals and a cot.

I didn't post an example of my writing, nor did I ask anyone to take my vaguely referenced writing seriously. I simply said that I've actually studied justice before categorically popping off about what justice is and isn't.

Coincidentally, my ideas about justice have been heavily influenced by some of the philosophers you referenced, but clearly aren't familiar with. Narcissism is feeling so threatened by someone who may know more about a subject than you do, that you make repeated attempts to insult them.

Just keep in mind that the overwhelming majority of people in prison will be released back into society.

People like her believe you can take a thug drug dealer, offer them college courses to take in a low security prison environment, and the state would be pumping out engineers, chemists, and business leaders.
So she’s a basic smelly stupid liberal women. Got it.

That's a problem right there. Murderers, rapists and child molesters should not be released.

Most people in prison haven't been convicted of those crimes.

I didn't say they were nor do I think that. But those who have shouldn't be released until they expire.

You don't have to post it. We can take 10 or so of your threads and probably form some pretty good Cliffs Notes of them.

Threatened?? Oh we just didn't know the level of narcissism.

Your "knowing more about a subject than others" by people is why Thomas Jefferson's thoughts on hanging as a viable execution method for murder is ignored, suppressed, and overturned later as "inhumane", but his singular writing on separation of church and state is held as in high regard as if there was a mention in the Constitution.

If you had to make a list of 100 things you would improve about our state, would executing inmates on death row be on it?

Yes, as it would be part of a larger package to jail your pets for longer/potentially forever.

Also jail you for being a child grooming apologist.

I dint get why we spend so much on these drugs. When we have tons of fentanyl why not just shoot them up with that?
