If he wanted to keep the charade up he shouldn’t have allowed massive protests. I’ll stay home when he resigns over negligent leadership if he was truly allowing people to gather with a killer virus going around

They understand stats but will absolutely sow misinformation to an ignorant population in order to get the result they want.

Negative Nancy has made it clear that the economy must be in tatters on Nov 3, and JBE and the other Dim govs will do what they can to keep things down. The Rona and riots are the current tools at their disposal, and we should expect them to be employed destructively for the foreseeable future.

By any means necessary!

The Abraham voters and Karens in the suburbs should've gone with the legit conservative Eddie Rispone over the tax and spend ambulance chaser John Bel Edwards who pretends to be a blue dog when its convenient at election time.

Let's also put blame on the state GOP. Which has been atrocious.

It’s insanity. These people are pretending we are months away from some solution or vaccine. It will likely be years. Panicking at every spike is the height of stupidity.

Throw in a decent hurricane between now and the end of the season and La will be rolling in the federal money.

Wrong.

The fact that people on this board think the state GOP has this incredible amount of power they don't use is funny. Reality is the other way, and the state GOP has little to no power.

The state GOP works for the politicians and political candidates, not the other way around.

For the 2019 campaign, The state GOP actually built a brand new data model and offered it for free to all of their political candidates and saw rousing success up and down the ballot with a super majority in the senate and two seats shy of that in the House, and statewide posts outside of governor going republican.

What did Rispone's campaign do? They turned down the free data model from the State GOP and bought a three year old data model from the Trump campaign for well over 100 grand.

Rispone's campaign was get rich quick scheme for carpetbagger consultants.

Republican politicians are the most feckless losers on the planet. At least the Democrats have the balls to tell everyone to get fricked if they don't like it. The R's are scared of their own emaciated shadows.

You say that. And I would like to think that. But if this whole epidsode has shown us one thing (actually two), it is that (1) law abiding citizens are going to be law abiding citizens and do what the Governor orders even though they vehemently disagree and (2) the persuasiveness of media doom and gloom propaganda is still very strong (or, at minimum, people are unwilling to research an issues any further than the headline presented). I'm surprised at how many people still think the pandemic is cataclysmic even though 3-4 months of this has shown us the likelihood of getting seriously ill or dying from the virus is relatively small.

People may bitch and complain on social media. A few might even protest. But by and large they will begrudgingly go back to whatever the Governor tells them to do. I wish that wasn't the case. But it is, despite the message board bravado
