OK,
But what they did to Klotz was strait up assault and generally ends up with the perp(s) being hauled off for booking at a local precinct so the magistrate can then turn them lose at a minimum.

They’re just street cops with no say. They’re getting their rules from higher ups.

If they did arrest the attackers they would probably be fired, sued, maybe even arrested and prosecuted.

If he had there’s a good chance he would be in Rikers right now, indefinitely with no bail, facing multiple weapon possession charges and multiple counts of murder.

On a TOTALLY UNRELATED note, there's a movie called "Law Abiding Citizen" that's pretty good.....

The attackers will:

- undoubtedly do this again and probably murder someone
- go on to spawn more demons just like them
- end up in prison, costing tax payers millions over the years
- rinse, repeat

Edit: assault and battery can be a misdemeanors but what these kids did is not a simple misdemeanor.

More than likely, the cops knew it would get kicked out by the soft DA.

This is the problem with soft prosecutions, the cops simply see enforcing laws being softly (or not at all) prosecuted as a waste of their time (and I can't blame them). Unlike 40-50 years ago, they are under too much scrutiny to handle these issues "outside of normal channels".

So animals like these kids get to run wild.

I understand trump's accountant was sent to rikers for not paying taxes on a car perk. Yet the hoodlums run wild.

Kudos to Klotz for stepping up and protecting the older man. Shame on the other riders for not joining him.

A policy of not arresting perpetrators for misdemeanor assault is stupid. Nonetheless, the threats to “put him to sleep“ would probably have enhanced the assault to a felony. New York lawyers?

Which is why, unlike Adam, I wouldn’t have a problem with ruining their lives now.

Priorities, man.

I mean, he was Trump’s accountant.

inconsistent with the OP. Which is correct?

EDIT

Found the following in the New York Post
quote:

A rep for the city Law Department, which prosecutes juvenile crimes in the Big Apple, said in an e-mail that the victim has to file a complaint with the Department of Probation before it gets involved. Probation would then decide whether to refer the case to the Law Department for prosecution, the representative said.
Sounds as if they were not charged at the scene because they were juveniles. Klotz can still have them charged in the juvenile system, if he files a formal complaint. Sounds like he is not going to exercise that option.

Basically, he is complaining that "someone should do something," while declining to do his part to get the ball rolling in the system.

Additionally, New York law allows the 17-year-old to be charged as an adult.

Yeah, real compassionate. When one of his Daughters or Sons gets whacked, he'll bear that as an enabler. Whatever we tolerate, we get more of.

The Left WILL try to take the guns that civil, loving and responsible people hold to defend against these feral heathens. That will be a line in the sand for many. Albeit, I have no idea how one 'rebels' against such action when their bank accounts and access to (Government run) basic life sustaining goods and services are 'canceled'. 'Terrorism' most likely. One person's 'terrorist' is another's righteous freedom fighter.

The easy days are coming to an end. Drip, drip...drip.
