re: liberals that "own" Christians for believing that Jesus was white looking...

It doesn’t. Depictions of Jesus with blue eyes are no different than ones of him as a black man. They are largely conceptual ancient renderings made in the image of the audience they were intended for, by artists working with almost zero real information around what he might have actually looked like aside from the Shroud of Turin and some vague scripture.
We don’t have those excuses anymore. When someone in the modern age attempts to portray Jesus as black or something other than a West Asian / Middle Eastern phenotype, they are doing so to be intentionally controversial. Think about Islam. Any visual depiction of Mohammad is forbidden. We are careful to respectfully cross that line. Yet no such grace exists for Christians.

There have been a ton of people who claim to have had near death experiences, or nde's. Many of these accounts seem legit, and most actually claim that the Jesus they met not only looked white/Middle Eastern, but also had blue eyes.
Holy shite

And Mohammed is depicted with fair skin. What audience was that for?
Now you will get killed depicting him as anything. We know what that audience is for.

“Asian” is so fricking stupid.
Russians are Asian. Chinese are Asian. Indians are Asian.
Just say Oriental.
And argue Jesus’ skin and eye color all you want, but seriously doubt he had Oriental eye features.
Yes, and native Americans can trace their genetics back to Siberia, along with Europeans.
Then they met up again and created the mestizos.
The way we view race today was made up by some leftist German.

3. Jews are white and often have fair skin and light eyes
“Jew” isn’t exclusively an ethnic group.
Yes, there are fair haired, blue eyed Jews around these days, but Jesus Christ was a first century Jew born and raised in the Levant, and in the Bible itself he is described as appearing as a Nazarene (olive skin and brown hair).
His depictions are practically always based upon the culture depicting him. Go to an Asian church and see for yourself lol.
Which honestly I find a bit of beauty in that. Christ was for all, and depicting him as White, Black, Asian, Middle-Eastern etc. etc. ad nauseam is fine my book.

A simple web search would have prevented your post.
ETA: Here's a 2 for 1 special depicting Mohammed leading Jesus, Moses, and Abraham in prayer

I’m not denying they exist. I’m asking for context since it seems the poster was alleging that provocative depictions of Mohammed are as common as intentionally provocative depictions of Jesus.
That’s absurd.

I mean...Muslims will kill people for depicting Mohammed so I'm not sure why we're talking about them at all.

Funny enough that first one is quite clearly an Indian depiction.

Yes, but still light skinned, which is what was posited.

Jesus was almost certainly light skinned.
See my earlier post about the DNA research around Samaritans of the Southern Levant.

And wearing 18th century Indian garb which a 7th century Arab absolutely wouldn’t have been caught dead in lol.

In some cases it can be. Look up how the southern Baptists came to be, for example.
But like just about everything wicked people can always twist stuff to their own ends.
It’s not unheard of in my Church either.

So when Louis Farrakhan says he’s a Muslim who talks to a person in a spaceship who got there by riding a horse into space that means it’s Muslim religion txt? There’s a strange phenomenon in religion where people call themselves something without being that thing. It’s pervasive among all of them.

I said “in some cases.”
This is all perfectly applicable to practically any religion.
Not to mention the example I brought up, the SBC, is well documented as saying “mistakes were made” lol.
