Let's unpack the latest jobs claims from the BLS (Hint: It's all lies)

As with Obama's term, i feel it is necessary to actually examine the BLS report, and show exactly why the job numbers are nothing more than smoke and mirrors.
LINK
Translation: Long term unemployed were no longer counted due to longevity.
Again, showing that the absymal job ratings over the last year hasn't changed, and is well under Trump numbers.
And now the Covid/Democrat factor:
So, as usual per any democrat president*, all factors to indicate economic recovery actually show a loss, not a gain, but due to government "accounting" they manage to show a job gain.
And then, lefties, please do try to remember the Democrat plandemic affect. When you prevent workers from working, then all of a sudden you allow them to get back to work, that will statistically count as a job gain. If you want to honestly compare jobs, try going pre-pandemic levels. Hint: Democrats are bad for private business, but you know that.

Both the unemployment rate, at 4.0 percent, and the number of unemployed persons, at
6.5 million, changed little in January.
quote:
the unemployment rates for adult men (3.8 percent) and
Whites (3.4 percent) edged up in January. The jobless rates for adult women (3.6 percent),
teenagers (10.9 percent), Blacks (6.9 percent), Asians (3.6 percent), and Hispanics
(4.9 percent) showed little or no change over the month.
quote:
Among the unemployed, the number of job leavers increased to 952,000 in January, following
a decrease in the prior month. The number of persons on temporary layoff, at 959,000 in
January, also increased over the month but is down by 1.8 million over the year. The
number of permanent job losers, at 1.6 million,
quote:
the number of persons jobless less than 5 weeks increased to 2.4 million
and accounted for 37.0 percent of the total unemployed. The number of long-term unemployed
(those jobless for 27 weeks or more) declined to 1.7 million.
Translation: Long term unemployed were no longer counted due to longevity.
quote:
After accounting for the annual adjustments to the population controls, the labor force
participation rate held at 62.2 percent in January, and the employment-population ratio
was little changed at 59.7 percent. Both measures are up over the year but remain below
their February 2020 levels
Again, showing that the absymal job ratings over the last year hasn't changed, and is well under Trump numbers.
quote:
The number of persons not in the labor force who currently want a job was little changed
at 5.7 million in January.
quote:
Among those not in the labor force who wanted a job, the number of persons marginally
attached to the labor force, at 1.5 million, changed little in January. These individuals
wanted and were available for work and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12
months but had not looked for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey. The number of
discouraged workers, a subset of the marginally attached who believed that no jobs were
available for them, was also little changed over the month, at 408,000.
And now the Covid/Democrat factor:
quote:
In January, 6.0 million persons reported that they had been unable to work because their
employer closed or lost business due to the pandemic
quote:
Among those not in the labor force in January, 1.8 million persons were prevented from
looking for work due to the pandemic, up from 1.1 million in the prior month.
So, as usual per any democrat president*, all factors to indicate economic recovery actually show a loss, not a gain, but due to government "accounting" they manage to show a job gain.

Maybe they are counting the illegals crossing the border in the job numbers

OP is right... unfortunately its not going to stop the administration and media from doing victory laps.
This is the equivalent of using accounting tricks to cheat your taxes.

I mean if you’re using U3 unemployment instead of U6 in 2022 you aren’t trying very hard

But it’s turning into a circle jerk. Nobody believes them. About anything.
People see with their own eyes and feel with their pocketbooks what’s going on in the economy.
Biden sucks at telling the truth the once or twice a year he tries that. He’s orders of magnitude worse at lying. He’s a clown, and nobody but equally moronic Dems believes him.

Like with all democrat administration’s economic reports, the numbers will be revised down when no one is looking

U6 unemployment is the only indicator I check now, most people realize that the jobs numbers are a sham.

Obama made this change to help himself for sure
I had hoped Trump would revert it back, but I get why not. Or at least fix it, and show a comparison of how it's minupulated.
At some point we as a nation need to pull the band aid off, and know exactly where we are on things like this. Stop hiding from our problems, and build on that instead of false info....or how do the Dems like to call it....mis/dis-information.

Not surprising. The Government can make 2+2=7 and convince many it is so without question.

What they did was go back and revise the last 3 months in order to set up today's numbers. Today's number would not have been possible without going backward and revising the last 3 months

This is the last major jobs report before the Mar 1 SOTU address.
You do the math.

The tell in my mind is how the hell would ADP being off by nearly 800k?
They were predicting -300k jobs. They are the predominant payroll processing organization, so how in the F could they not see the true data? Something is funky
