Is Zack Newman’s response discordant for anyone else?
The response was prescripted imo. Prescripted to indicate Dolloff’s intervention saved the Producer from being killed or suffering grave bodily harm. But as the remark by the LEO indicated, the prepared script did not match what precipitated the killing.

Man, I'm learning all kinds of stuff about my Nikon in this thread.
But I love my Pentax gear because they have been so good about backwards compatibility. I am still using a GREAT 50mm prime that I bought almost 30 years ago, before anyone had even conceived the DSLR. It still works wonderfully with my newest DSLR body.

That's a tough story to sell considering they'd been following around a loud mouthed aggressive, agitating mother fricker all day (BGM shirt guy). After seeing this a-hole in action, I'm not sure how anything Keltner did could have been legitimately considered life threatening.

Dang. He could have been no more mistaken. How tragically ironic that the abundance of video/still images offers the most incriminating evidence against his killer.

Few things, no real contribution:
1. I live in a Denver suburb, but have had the best info from this thread. Thank you.
2. This is so fricked up for countless reasons. Scary for this nation in general
3. It's amazing what people want to see from the same evidence.
Just shite like this on social:
Blows my mind.

It's textbook self defense, and textbook use of force. I understand moral arguments (I don't agree with them) but legally, this guy followed all the rules.
If this was a cop shooting a black guy they'd be howling justification.

the activation of the spray was miliseconds before trigger pull. There is a photo frame where gun is out of battery, with ejected shell. the frame BEFORE that, has spray visible. Likely too fast for human brain to parse, but still technically sprayed first.
it just crushes that narrative that Lee was spraying to defend himself. Which doesn't matter to me, he already assaulted and bumped the guy whom he outweighed by 100lbs.
Blows my mind.

They have no concept that there is an entire process of drawing and raising a weapon that occurred prior to engagement of the spray. They want Lee to just stand there and accept his execution like he deserves for being a conservative.

People will see what they want. Can’t help that most of the time.
To think that shooting a man from that distance while he was backing up and while you should be moving the person you are supposed to be protecting to safety is self defense is insane.

Twitter video from @benkile_ showing Newman and Dolloff stalking Keltner at a crosswalk (GoPro - no audio)
You have this one up as a gif on the OP Bobby. But it does not show the light turn green and how they hovered around when Keltner does not cross. This one shows them hesitating, circling and mirroring his moves when he does not move forward on the green.
Also, @benkile_ has a lot of specific footage of Lee Keltner that he has locked down and will not release. Also interesting that he is focused on Lee Keltner as well (who had told him earlier not to film him).

As usual you have no idea what you’re talking about. Nikon’s SLR lens mount dates back to to the late 50s. 100% backward compatible provided you know how to use a focus ring.

Yeah, I’m not grouping you in with those others

I see nothing but some still photos of Keltner, Dollof and the reporter at a crosswalk. Is that supposed to be a video?

Is there a map or overhead drawing or something that shows where the various events occurred? Where was the shooting? Where was the rally in comparison? Where was the street in this last set of images? Etcetera?
It might provide some useful context.

To the extent that anyone else finds such things helpful, the rally was in Civic Center Park. Per Dolloff's arrest affidavit, the "designated egress" from the rally was due south, across 14th and between the Library and the Museum.
BGM Guy had set up shop between the Museum and the Libary, because parking was further south and he could accost people walking back to their vehicles. Like the Keltners.
The photos at the crosswalk were south of the Park, just outside the Park and before crossing 14th street southwbound. The shooting was further south, between the museum and the library. Apparently, the Keltners proceeded due south from 14th street, between the Library and Museum and were then accosted by BGM.
The arrows are from an unrelated event. Just the clearest area map I could find quickly.

The rally was over Hank. They had crossed West 14th Avenue and were walking south within the Denver Art Museum complex back to either where they were parked (more than likely along Bancock Street or West 13th Avenue) or some form of public transportation.
Place their agitator in front (he had already gotten into a confrontation with the man in the red shirt) to stop forward progress. They had someone they had identified with a weapon who had earlier told @benkile_ not to film him.
This was their last chance. And they used it to the fullest.
