So, one of several things MAY have happened. First, she may have deleted files and renamed every file on the drive. Second, she may have briefly feathered the SR button, due to being startled. Third, something may have glitched in the camera or the tethered computer to slow the fps at a VERY coincidental time.

STFU. You're a trained liar. Everyone here knows this. We know you support this.
Enjoy yet another death of your enemies. I'm sure there will be more to come, and you will continue to support the party that wants this.

You cannot disagree with what you disagreed with, at least honestly. You cannot fire almost simultaneously with the mist, maybe slightly after by a quarter of a second, and score a headshot, unless you begin aiming prior to the mist.
I’m not saying he had a bead ready to fire before the mist, I’m saying he began the process of pointing and aiming at the victim prior to engagement of the spray.

He was being filmed with the phone.

I disagree. I have opened the file in my GIF editor, and I first see the gas/smoke at frame 9, and Dolloff is still raising his arms into his firing stance. He does not level and aim the weapon until approximately frame 11 or 12. Presumably, he fires at about frame 12 (perhaps 1/3 second after the gas is released).

Probably not if shooting for online pub. But, It’s a contrasty day, so maybe?

I CAN tether and shoot burst on Pentax.

What interesting about that video... like others... everyone is focused on the BGM guy. NO ONE is following the supposed aggressor Dolloff was threatened by. That. Is Weird.

Because he is the only one yelling and screaming.
This makes the girls video of the whole thing even more suspect.
Maybe THATS why Dolloff had that look on his face. Maybe BGM was supposed to be the distraction and the girl fricked everything up by recording the shooting. So he looked at her like “did you seriously record the whole thing?”
If no one had direct close up video evidence, there might have been enough doubt with lying witness testimony to get him off with a self defense assertion.

quote:Agreed. My view is that Dolloff drew and began to aim in response to Keltner hitting him in the head. Was DOlloff planning to fire, or was he simply preparing to defend himself against another assault by Keltner? I have no objective basis for forming an opinion either way.

Then (while Dolloff was in the process of drawing and aiming) Keltner ALSO began raising his right arm and pointing something at Dolloff. Then Keltner pulled the trigger, deploying the beginning of a gas cloud and perhaps creating an audible "pop."
Either during Keltner's raising of his arm and aiming at Dolloff OR at the deployment of the gas, regardless of Dolloff's unknown original intent, I have no doubt that Dolloff's intent then BECAME "I will fire my weapon as soon as it is aimed in the next half-second."

The draw was CLEARLY in response to the slap. The response was alomst reflexive to the slap. The mace was likely deployed once Keltner sees Dolloff go for his weapon. That would have been my reaction knowing I had no time to draw my own pistol. At minimum, we know the mace was deployed after Dolloff had already begun to unholster.
Dolloff is going to have to come up with some Stephen king level shite if he plans to claim self defense. Or he can hire Hank and he'll be found guilty after months of pointless pontificating and insulting the jury's intelligence.

Newman's video captured the dialogue (between Newman and Keltner).

That last paragraph will be the difference between murder 1 and murder 2.
Of course, my opinion is it should be murder 1 all the way since the actual act of drawing a weapon inappropriately and beginning to aim inappropriately provoked the spray can response (you cannot legally shoot someone for responding to your already inappropriate escalation).
