What does this have to do w the shooting?
Good question. I've seen him brought up in this thread and another thread like his actions had something to do with the shooting. His actions are unrelated to the shooting itself.

Dolloff was not assaulted he put his hands on the victim first.
That's right. If he wanted to protect his client, he should have grabbed the client, and drug his arse away from there. That would be the proper way to handle that.

Dolloff also pulls his weapon before the victim raises a hand or raises the can of spray.

I truly believe, that Dolloff woke that morning, wanting to kill a conservative. Just looking for an excuse, where he thought he could get away with it.

Hank has said he doesn't believe he was trying to collect a pelt. My question is what if this was a KKK member who shot a black person at a BLM protest? It would be widely accepted that the KKK member was trying to collect a pelt. Whether you can actually prove that or not might be a different story but it is interesting how certain terrorist groups get a pass.
ETA: my bad it is just an idea

I have trouble seeing "placing hands on chest to prevent a fight" falling into any of those three provisions.

Menacing
Menacing occurs when a person, by threat or physical action, knowingly places or attempts to place another person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury. Menacing is a Class 3 misdemeanor, but it is a Class 5 felony if it involves the use or threatened use of a deadly weapon. This includes items designed to look like and displayed as deadly weapons (replica guns, rubber knives), in addition to verbal or physical representations that the one is armed with a deadly weapon.
(Colo. Rev. Stat. § 18-3-206.)

Its irrelevant what the shooter was trying to do or what his intentions were. The fact remains the shooter placed his hands on the victim first and pulled his weapon because he was slapped.

This sequence is not even remotely in controversy
The victim was set up for a media opportunity. From start to finish. And was murdered in the process.
And you are twisting and distorting the facts to defend it.
Absolutely sickening.

it is odd he has been trying to paint the victim as the aggressor since day 1

Or, he should have at minimum, clearly identified himself as a security agent via dress, badge, or declaration rather than dressing up as an Antifa, acting like an Antifa, and hanging out with Antifa agitators all day long.
This isnt all that different from the JoJo pedo midget story. Libs mourned his passing until it was revealed that he was a human piece of shite who had been starting fires and begging to get his arse whipped all day. Then the sympathy vanished like a fart in the wind.

My position would be identical to my position in this case, given the same level of information.

If this thing goes to a jury, does it have to be unanimous to convict?

This happened 3 blocks from my place, this is the last straw. I am putting my place on the market and getting the frick out of dodge.

Every bit of it is in controversy to anyone who has a modicum of common sense.
quote:That MIGHT be true and it might not. Either way, it does not alter the simple sequence of events that I outlined as occurring during the 4-5 second confrontation that led to the shooting.

I am Pro-Trump.
ETA: I am Pro whoever decides to uphold law and order. The BLM marches have calmed down since summer but there were nights where these idiots were marching at midnight. Called the non-emergency police and they literally told me to write our state legislature
