If I saw this in Idiocracy or a Mel Brooks movie it would make sense.

Damn.

Scrap value of the comb: 3.50
but only if the plastic (which will not stand up to NOLA sunlight) has any recycle value.

Imagine if they used a real piece of art, like a statute of a blues musician, and some comedian used it in a line. “A guy playing the trumpet? I tell you what they should have as a statue, an afro pick!”

That's a sculpture? Looks like a first time Jr High welding project to me. I think we called them X-mas trees when welded a bunch of scraps together for practice.

I used to consider the city of New Orleans and its people as part of the fabric that made me who I am, and perhaps in some way it was, but I have zero desire to set foot in that cesspool ever again.

I’m too damn young to be talking about the good old days, but here I am pining over fond memories of simpler times with a heart full of regret toward the reality I’m now forced to embrace.

Sad.

Wait how in Earth is that silly giant model of a comb more than 40/50k in costs? 7.2 million buys a fricking palace almost anywhere in America.

For comparison, here’s a link Rivera Sells Mansion for 3.7 million to a huge arse mansion in a suburb of NYC Mariana Rivera just sold for half of what that goofy comb costs. Makes no sense. On what planet is a mansion on a sprawling piece of land less expensive than a statue of a fricking Afro comb?

If I was black, I would be embarrassed that this was how my "leaders" chose to represent me. We keep being told that America owes its success black people, but the best they can come up with is a hair pick?
