As Juneteenth approaches, we celebrated with an unveiling in Lafayette Sq.This sculpture is very fitting for this time & place as we celebrate the freedoms that we have gained We know that it doesn’t come without struggles, fights, and protests for 200+ years

Furthermore, in recognition of our local black and brown artists, we have dedicated $7.2 MILLION in bond funding to public art In addition, we have already purchased over 60 pieces of artwork created by local Black artists to be displayed in our public buildings

New Orleans is irreparably fricked. Teedy is a reflection of the people who voted her in.

So black people found the confederate statues to be racist so they came down. So as white people find this to be racist does that mean…oh, yeah, there’s that old double standard again…sorry.

I’m commissioning a sister sculpture, a 10 foot replica of a bottle of Afro Sheen, to be placed opposite this grand piece.

Putting that trashy comb there with the Roman architecture in the background was a bad move. That tells a story that doesn’t reflect well on black people

Putting up a nice sculpture is just too much I guess
