That’s how larger wars get started, but Russia is desperate. They can’t give up and they can’t quickly win.
If NK troops invade Ukraine what will the Europeans do?
For instance would the Poles send troops to Ukraine?

I don't think any country in Europe will do anything. NK troops have been part of this war in the past mostly in defensing the kursk region but I don't think them actually moving into Ukraine would trigger any type of European response.

North Korea is willing trade lives for technological, political, and economic gain (hopefully). What a world.

You could very well be right. The nations could just let the Comminists back into Europe. In fact I’d guess that they wouldn’t do anything, but if anyone reacted with foot soldiers I think it would be Poland.
Now others might ratchet up aid.

If you compare the two Rybar maps Nate posted of the Kostyantynivka area, I can see some Russian advances northwest of Illinivka. One was early July the other today. There is nothing of note that I can see on the main highway to Kramatorsk.

According to the scale on the ISW map, it appears Russia has advanced about 5km since December 10th of 2025. Let's call it 6km just to be fair.
In 8 months, Russia has advanced 6km in this area.
That works out to 750 meters per month, which equates to about 25 meters per day.
The distance from the outer edge of Kostyantynivka to the outskirts of Kramatorsk is 16km according to Google Earth Pro. At a pace of 25m per day, it will take Russia 640 days to reach Kramatorsk.
The real question that no map answers is what the cost was to both Ukraine and Russia for the 25 m per day advance through Kostyantynivka.
In 8 months, Russia has advanced 6km in this area.

I looked at the Rybar maps of the same area but a month apart. There was very little changes to note certainly no movement up the main Highway.

The NK's sending troops to the Ukraine will result in simply more of the same.
1. The Russian infantry sucks, so the NK's will suck even more. Any 'training' the NK's receive will be entirely based on the Russian command's desire to survive by throwing someone, anyone not themselves, into the grinder and not necessarily taking more land, so all we will see is more casualties, not a change in returns for the Russians. In fact I'm willing to be bet that it won't stop the Ukrainians from continuing to tack back parts fo their land, albeit still at a slow rate.
2. Europe will double down on backing the Ukrainians and helping them to develop their drone warfare capabilities, along with the South Koreans. They won't send troops, however, because they won't need to and because escalating it may only help the Russians.
3. The first thing the Ukrainians are going to target is the logistics trail from NK, and since all of Russia's logistics are built around rail it's going to be shooting ducks in a barrel. I'm not sure how well they are going to fare shipping NK troops across a continent cris-crossed by railways and I suspect the NK's will lose quite a few troops on their way to the front, something the Russian's already have a problem with.
So the NK's sending troops will only prolong the situation and lead to more pointless deaths.

Not after WWII - that was the whole point of NATO. The European countries were to be the frontlines in the containment of the USSR and in exchange we gave them money, technology and political support. It's actually working like a charm right now only too many people can't see that and only view it in terms of a business deal, something it never was.

Have they determined who the courier was that brought the bomb? Were they an unknowing innocent or was it a suicide bomber?

Interesting development with Federov. He gave this interview, streamed live this morning, about his communication with Elon Musk - which seems to be an ongoing process.
It's clear now that if one person can stop this war, it's Musk. Certainly not Trump.

Another interview, this time of retired US Army Col. Robert Hamilton, on the anti-ballistic missile issue in Ukraine. It seems there is another source, refitted S-300 missiles that may become available this year. Although questionable from a quality and quantity standpoint, this is an added resource.
