these are not dangerous jobs. Checking on a sick elderly person isn’t getting anyone butchered.

• Courtesy request from doctors/hospitals
9. Non-fatal vehicle accidents
• Non-DUI/non-criminal: property damage only (including City property), verbal disputes involving non-injury traffic collisions, refusing to share ID at traffic collisions

I'm sure insurance companies and injury lawyers are eying this one. Good reason to deny your claim because no police report, more reason to sue.

15. Calls for service for loud noise, loud music, or ‘party’ calls that are anonymous or have no victim
16. Landlord/tenant disputes
17. Loitering/trespassing with no indication of danger
18. Code 30 Alarm Response (except 211 silent alarm)

There may not be a violent crime with these, but they will cause violence because no police response. More reason to be packing a weapon at all times. I guess property owners are just fricked.

28. Suspicious circumstances-possible dead body, where no indication of foul play

Both of these, why the frick else would you call the police. You found a dead body? OK we'll send the coroner if they're not too busy. No need to investigate anything. dafuq

Half the list is “non criminal”.

How the he’ll do they know if a crime has occurred before they show up?

This won’t end up like they think.

I wouldn't respond to any fricking call without a gun.

Period.

I have no problem with most of those. Too many times police have been trigger happy and shot an innocent person in a welfare check. Why some so called conservatives want police involved in matters such as fireworks and gambling (shouldn't be illegal in the first place) is perplexing. You are not a real conservative if you are constantly wanting some jackboot breathing down the neck of anyone and everyone.

Some of these make sense.

Some of the other scenarios can escalate and it's better to have a gun and not need it than vice versa.

Who is going to take on these tasks? Do they at least get pepper spray or a pointy stick?

That probably a swat response as is using a gas generator during an emergency.

In general the idea has some practical applications but will undoubtedly be a nightmare to roll out effectively and efficiently..

We’ve created a society that has become more burdensome on the police/government rather than the social contract between citizens that keeps the wheels turning with less interference..

To many People just dont give a shite about the general welfare of their fellow man

Obviously, you're not familiar with the Jo Ellen Smith incident here in Orleans.

A beautiful young nurse who along with others like her were being sent into the Projects to provide "home medical assistance" to the elderly.

What she endured should not be suffered by any human.

Her martyrdom to dangerous Leftist pandering and myriad other bankrupt social theories resulted in a hospital named after her - at least for a short time.

Now there's a "Living Center" that carries her name, although of little comfort to her family and friends.

But keep those theories coming.

My issue (even tho I don’t live in LA) with cop response to homeless ppl- is that there is no response at all.

If you live in the area of LSU, I’d bet you can name (or at least identify) the 3 homeless guys living btwn Lee and Acadian on Perkins.

The cops go to Benny’s for free coffee. You think they don’t know or see Forest? Plus, it pisses me off no end that people think this is ok.

THIS IS NOT OK. Forrest has to shite somewhere. So it’s ok that he shits in the grass on the public neutral ground?? All 3 of them have fricking cell phones. I just cannot anymore with people living on the sidewalk in my neighborhood. I don’t GAF if the cops are armed when they move them out or not. But they don’t own the public property and it is psychologically unhealthy to just let them live there. I’d imagine it’s even worse in Los Angeles.

“Officer there was a fist fight at school”

“Cool I’ll make sure I can Shoot them, may be an ambush at this middle school”

Under the obama administration the dept of ed instituted the now infamous "dear colleague" letter.

Any public school who disciplines minorities at a higher rate than their percentage of makeup of the school's population....the school risks losing all federal funding.

There are horror stories of hoodlums repeatedly beating kids, teachers, etc. and are still allowed in school only further emboldening them.

The work around is to call the cops and let them deal with them, thereby not affecting the school's "equity" score.

Course I get your point, better to wait until its an active shooter to send an armed officer, thats worked out well in the past.

Bad idea. I've seen road rage firsthand. We all have.

Without police on the scene, many non-fatal accidents will result in violent homicides unless police are present. So, in other words, go ahead and kill someone to ensure that we show up. Makes sense.

I give it 3.5 days from policy implementation to the first completely preventable unarmed officer death.

The problem is that a great many people act irrationally when police are involved. Non violent situations suddenly become violent when someone doesn’t like getting a parking ticket or having their shite towed

Elderly with or without dementia will still respect the uniformed police. Some blue haired, tatted, pierced social worker won't be perceived as authority and a demand to check on their homes will be seen as illegal entry and a reason to protect themselves.
