Missouri took longest, because they love to be slow and be last.

Would Edwards have sided with Texas if he was still Gov of Louisiana?

Every governor of those states needs to flood that border with their national guard and state personnel if they have not done so already.

I see KY as the opposite. Completely surrounded and easily over taken.

They may start out on the wrong side but they will be the first to fall.

North Caroline is next to fall.

The people of Kansas will rise up against the urban centers and most of the territory of the state will be friendly.

When the non-red states start starving it will be over. “We” control most of the food production.

Actually, California does along with some Midwest states. That's not to say the South couldn't in a time of war. Point is, in your fictional scenario, both sides have the means to produce.

This map is literally from the coalition of "republican" governors. If your state has a dem governor, you wont be on the map in red regardless if your state us supporting texas or not. Same is true for Kansas.

California, Illinois, and the other states on their side don’t stack up to the states colored red. Not even close.

If this were to break as mapped the majority of the food production is colored red.

There’s probably not a scenario where you get to starve millions and not also get droned into oblivion. That would be a horrible scenario if it gets to that

Do you think we were sending Germany food during WWII?

Was the north sending food south during the war of northern aggression?

Did the British feed Americans during the revolutionary war?

If this hypothetical war breaks out trade between the sides is not going to be happening.

Its really NC and Alaska that are boxed out, everyone else has access to each other through a friendly state.

Oh and NH.

Flip Arizona, then you cut off NM, CO, and KS. They’d be so screwed.

This would also isolate CA, OR, and WA 2,000 miles from their allies. I’d imagine they’d go through Canada from WA to Somalia, I mean MN..

Oh yeah, I agree that this would happen in a war. Where we disagree is that I think it’s a bad outcome
