I get the impression that she and the current mayor sort of dig each other, but I don't suspect too many of the local folk give too much of a shite at all.
She did some sort of weird "appearance" at the Saenger Theater a few months ago. I have no idea how well received that might have been, if it was at all. Maybe Cubbies can chime in.

This wasn’t on my radar at all. I didn’t hear a peep about it.
After googling, she came in January for a stop on her book tour. WDSU reported hundreds of people attended.
