There are no cameras. They could wheel her in the wheelchair and help her to her chair. They are all limoed in in black caddies. Why did she go right back to work after the lung surgery and is now calling off? I mean she is old she has a right to be sick and get rest.

She is 85 and can't do her job. Retire.

Keeping people like Senator Tim Johnson (stroke) or Rep Gabby Giffords (gunshot to head) in office despite being on life support and unable to do their job was one thing, as the states eventually got to choose a replacement.

Doing so with RBG for the purposes of running out the clock on the Trump presidency would be a farce.

She’s going to retire end of the month.

Just my prediction

There's 9. She isn't "presiding". It's not like it's a trial. Their are oral hearings which she can be delivered offsite. Obviously, at some point, this is untenable.

My question is: behind the scenes, have dems tried to negotiate a retirement in exchange for a more centrist nomination from Trump? That'd be some fun game theory!

It would be better if she would just die already.

Just my opinion.

did any other President negotiate? Like Obama was going to negotiate the two female activists.

With Kav and the rest that were not dem appointed, they can be independent, with dem SCOTUS noms nowadays they are always hard left activists.

So I say Judge Amy Coney-Barrett for the win.

Can someone confirm she's still alive?

I wouldn't pull it past the left to pull a weeekend at Bernie's...

I don't think she makes it past this year. He health is failing and I can bet there are grumblings among the justices that she can't perform the job anymore to her ability. I think she will retire in the next 3 months if she doesn't pass away before that.

Who was dying? The dems are desperate to at least mitigate the impact of the 3rd nominee who Trump is about to get, so I figured they'd be hard up to try to get something done.

So a "sitting" judge need not be present to preside over a case. Hmmm. Interdasting.

That’s not really what “sitting” refers to there, Chief.

Can we all agree that regardless of the situation, any SCOTUS judge that can’t be present to hear arguments has to step down?

Let’s be honest. We all saw her at the last State of the Union. Even then, she was out of it.

She is done. She can’t fulfill her responsibilities.

She was supposedly a cool lady and all but it is over.

She needs to step down.

How about a dying judge?
Should a dying judge preside over any case?

I don’t think she will willingly step down.

Only death will remove her from office.

To be fair, that 2-day sale at Stein Mart's is off-the-charts incredible. Now if she misses a 3rd day, Im gonna start to wonder.
