So they removed a stage II tumor and now she is disease free. Not unexpected.

She will probably have a PET scan every few months until after the 2020 election.

She will not resign even if Trump wins in 2020. She will die first

I’m pointing out the stupidity of saying “she’s free of cancer” so soon after her surgery

I agree, additionally she was prevously diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Patients with pancreatic cancer have a 5% survival rate. Cancer was found in her lungs which I think would mean it had metastasized. Unless she is being treated with some secret super drug/treament that we are unaware of, I don't see how the statment can be true.

Most of them were hoping today's announcement would be of her retirement.

She’ll be returning punts for us next year. Small but wiry.

only death can kill cancer permanently

This is not exactly true. Cancer is what it is because cells have lost their ability to enter a programmed cell death. Cancer cells are for a lack of a better word, immortal. Most cancer cell lines that are used in research today were actually taken from cancer patients who died in the 40’s and 50’s. So while the patient died decades ago, they actually still live on in wharehouses in the form of cancer cells. Crazy to think about.

That she survived Pancreatic Cancer is good news for all the folks who will get that diagnosis in the future.
That she continues to survive should make some of us feel more positive about our personal, non-political futures.

uh, have you seen the condition she's in?

If she didn't have government $$millions at her disposal to aide her, she'd be in assistive care somewhere.

I hope she dies suddenly.
If she retires, there will be a lead up to that announcement, and dem defensive strategies will already be worked on.

If she drops dead and we wake up and hear..."Ruth Baader Meinhoff has gone tits up in the night"...it will catch them off guard.

She's 85 had a full life and time for her to move on.

Lets be honest...the only thing that keeps her bitterly clinging to life, is her flaming hate of all things not liberal.

As long as there are cells in her body, she will never be cancer free.
