What do the mean by "end of year"?
obviously, the Supreme Court starts a new session in October. I think he's going to retire before the new session starts so that the Democrats can push through the most far left wing whack job they could come up with before the end of the year.
If he waits until the end of the year the actual end of the year, the new Senate, which will most likely be Republican run, will be able to reject anyone who is way too far left. And, I think that’s why he’s announcing his retirement now.
