I saved the pdf. I assume that the MN government will have that document deleted by tomorrow.

Better save copies of that before MiniTrue deletes it.

I’m sure it was just another “misspeak.”

I mean, come on, who here hasn’t embellished their military experience. Everybody does it. Just get over it!

So it’s real, wow.

Though as the tweet also pointed out, he did visit Afghanistan as a Congressman so he could’ve seen it there. But Congressional visits are obviously recorded so it should be easy enough to verify if he witnessed it.

Of course, even if he did - his speech very much suggested he witnessed it as a solider, not a congressman. But it’ll be enough for the media to explain away.

Correct.

But the fact that it has to be explained shows that he knew what it would sound like. Because he’s a dishonest person.

Here's the rebuttal. I figured he might have done it when he was in Congress, but man is it misleading.

It doesn’t read exactly as the video shows, but yeah that’s bad. He doesn’t say that Bagram was in Iraq, like those prepared remarks said. And the statement is in a bit different of a context, but he still says it in a way that suggests he witnessed the ceremony as a solider, not a Congressman.

What may be even worse is in the video he talks about how his daughter was 2 when he left and 3 when he returned, and the major guilt he felt because “he came home” when so many others didn’t.

Total BS.

He posted a source to the transcript from the Minnesota government. What do you have to say about it now?

I see you took the anchor off but what are your thoughts on this lying?

He was in Normandy. It was D-Day.

I had the privilege of serving in this state's national guard. I stood one night in the dark of night on the tarmac at Bagram Air Base in Iraq and watched a military ramp ceremony- a soldier's body being loaded onto a plane to be returned home.

Strange phrasing. Seems to hint that he was in the guard at the time.

Fake guilt. Wow. Let’s see if the media ask about it during his debate.

If not, Vance should have it queues up.
