Defense needs to look themselves in the mirror. They thought they had a slam dunk case and are being folksy idiots since Gross.

Just keep on eye on her after falling asleep more than once?

Falling asleep one time should be grounds for dismissal.

It just doesn’t work like that. I work with video files every day.
Agreed, and I work with all types of video imaging issues every day. Lens MTF (modulation transfer function) of the lens to define how well the lens can gather detail on the edges and in the center, the data rate of the recording, the log file used in recording the video, the white balance characteristics, the HDR settings and the algorithms used, whether the camera is using two images (an over-exposed and an under-exposed to create a file using a combination of both images, how much IR is being blocked and is any UV light also being blocked, region of interest recording and what is the bit rate of the recording and whether it's recorded in 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 format. Has the video been post edited in any manner using post production tools for image grading and enhancements? There is so much to it other than, "They gave us a degraded video in comparison to the one they have.

An expert, like my engineers, or others that I work with, would require some time and then could report on exactly what was done. Defense should have originally objected until the drone footage could be examined for this type of modification and data and had an expert on stand to say what percentage of the original data was missing, because, unless recorded in RAW, or LOG, every video is missing a huge amount of the original data, further compression takes that way back and you are left with crap.

jury has asked to watch a video

prosecution's like "sure... glad to"

defense is like "if it's the drone video they want to see... we've filed a motion to dismiss due to controversy over that particular video and it could be prejudicial"

judge tells a soliloquy

I was in a trial once where a kid was kicked off the jury. He was a bartender and would work until like 3-4am and then go to court

I would revel in being the most unpopular person in the deliberation room. It would be so satisfying to tell all the unhinged feelings-over-facts left wing nuts in that room "Too bad so sad, y'all are NOT getting a single conviction out of this NO MATTER WHAT"!

I'd tell em at this point it's very simple: we are either acquitting on ALL charges or we are going to be a hung jury. Case closed.

I'm guessing in that kind of trial she's falling asleep because she's already made up her mind.

So the fact that they want to look at all of the instructions makes me think they haven't found self defense and are looking at which charge they want to convict on.

Possibly, but I still think it's a smoke show. It's high profile. Return a verdict too quickly that doesn't meet the media gaslighting and their minions, and you have a bigger problem. Despite the fact that the decision is relatively easy IMHO as not guilty.

And the defense looks pissed that this isn’t the slam dunk acquittal it should be.

They are only in this situation because they fricked up by allowing Kyle to take the stand. The 2nd drone video was only introduced after the defense caught Kyle in a gotcha moment on the stand. And that 2nd drone video is the basis for the provocation charge. As the Rekieta Law stream noted, it probably would not have been admitted if Kyle hadn't testified. This frickup saved the prosecution's case.

What was the gotcha?

And yea, I agree with Kyle not taking the stand. He should only have taken the stand if they gained something from it.

Why do an inside kick if it's late in the 4th and you're up 35-14? You don't gain anything and only risk cutting your lead.

Unless you stated that your decision was based off of the facts of the case and not on feelz or political opinion, you could be kicked off the jury for perjury, as you had swore an oath to tell the truth and use only the facts of the case when you testified in court as a potential jurist.

I think there is more than one person on the jury that will vote to acquit on all charges likely meaning or hung jury and a decision whether to retry

You’d want to play it cooler than that or they would be able to get you removed from the jury for that “no matter what” comment.

I disagree here. How could I be removed AFTER the trial has been presented. The deliberation room is where jurors make up their mind on the case. And mine would be made based on the facts presented before during the trial.
