I was born in 1950. It is hard to describe to people who weren't there, just how good it can be when people are strong, virtuous and keenly aware of the hurt when dishonest or delusional or demagogic politicos hold power. Huey Long comes to mind; but even the Democrats were sober-minded. The War had made these people honest, and vigilant. Jim Crow nws; the Black folk were rock solid with their Faith and Families.

I think we are an evolving political and cultural Humanity; and after the dust settles, we will assume Jesus' mandate to focus on "the poor". A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. But anybody who think Jesus command to "sell all that you have and give it to the poor"...removes any moral accountability from those poor, makes Jesus a fool. No way.

There must and will be QUALIFIERS for mercy (collective subsidization for the weak), and STANDARDS of civic behavior. If lower class (economically) can make moral demands (SJW/Socialism) from those who are productive, then the productive can make moral demands as well. If either Class do not meet these demands...the implied social contract goes south...and "wailing and gnashing of teeth" ensues.

The dogs of war are at the gates. Serious backlash coming; likely the 'French Revolution' version. Biden's coming dementia will likely be a blessing for him.
