The iron beam laser needs an average of about 2 seconds of dwell time to knock these missiles out of the sky. The closer the missiles the shorter the dwell time. The further the missiles the longer the required dwell time. The weather is a factor too. Clear skies are optimal for obvious reasons.

These lasers operate in the 1000nm range. That’s longer than infrared at 700 nm. So you can’t see them. We just see the aftermath in the video.

Supposedly the lasers are exploding them as soon as they are launched

If that's what we're seeing here, truly, it's god-tier.

And if you consider that we're typically only showing technology publicly that's already 15-20 years old, imagine what we must have now.

For reference, my grandfather worked in finalizing Trident Missile guidance systems in the early 1960s, and my dad worked on finalizing stealth aircraft skin in the 1970s. We're ALWAYS way ahead of what we show the public.

We might actually have sharks with frickin laser beams on their heads at this point.

They must not have them at Bahrain. I saw the long video where 3 Patriot missiles whiffed on the lone missile that landed.

Crazy to think that Israel needs defense, when they are the ones who moved in to the region recently and have been the aggressors in every war they’ve been involved in.

Come on man now you’re just being ridiculous. I have a lot of problems with how our government seems to cater to Israel before America first but this is absurd. They’ve had to defend themselves from terrorist rockets and mortars for decades

If it's like everything else on the planet, the probability is pretty good that you and I did.

SInce Reagan. Star Wars was a success.

I hate to inform you but Reagan was bluffing and it worked. The Russians realized they could not compete because it was cost prohibited for them and they admitted financial defeat. Reagan got them to believe we started manufacturing Star Wars! We won! Until some stupid politicians gave the farm away with the milk!

Current estimated nuclear warhead stockpiles (2025, rounded, most cited defense sources):

Russia ~ 5,580
USA ~ 5,040
China ~ 500
France ~ 290
UK ~ 225
India ~ 172
Pakistan ~ 170
Isreal ~ 90
N. Korea ~ 50

Global total: ~12,000–12,500 warheads.

Note: Numbers are estimates. “Stockpile” includes deployed and reserve warheads.

Even with updated systems, the Patriot platform is almost obsolete against more modern and advanced ordnance delivery. I'm not saying it doesn't still have its place because it is clearly still effectively deployed the world over, but it's certainly situational.

Nah. It was just an X post with video. Long gone now. It was spectacular footage though.

Wouldn’t doubt it, but I’m not sure what that video is showing.

Probably Iron Beam, which is ground based.
