frick that law professor.
We really need to remove politics from universities. Should be a terminable offense.
I think it is the opposite, we should open it up and let ideas be discussed without repercussions
the issue is any student that speaks up and contradicts this professor is risking retribution from someone in authority that may not separate their personal views from their job
these professors have been empowered to share their views and enforce their will on students and that is wrong

This prof. is a pompous arse. I am thinking of a word that starts with D and rhymes with whooshbag. Maybe he should teach law and leave psyche destroying to reddit?

That idiot shouldnt have said what he said.
He deserves the pushback.

Why did Jeff have to put out a public letter about this? He could have gotten the same result with a phone call to the admin. at LSU. Now he gets to use this story as fodder, the professor gave Jeff exactly what he wanted, so Jeff can play warrior. Jeff might event get a Fox news appearance for this!
All fricking day long!

The professor, who teaches climate change law, then talked to his students about how "there's a pretty big rejection of that idea that we should be governed by experts."
This should pretty much sum up everything about him

What is the advice? Don’t vote for Republicans so unnamed black students feel welcome at LSU law?
Posted on 11/26/24 at 12:51 pm to dyslexiateechur
Professors like this would never be allowed at The University of Louisiana
That’s why they’re the flagship

In a lecture the day after the general election, Professor Nicholas Bryner told students who voted for Trump on the merits of his policy, despite their personal feelings about the man's conduct, that they must "prove that by the way you conduct yourself and by the way that you treat other people around you."
"I will say that I hear a lot about how groups of people in the law school, particularly Black students, don't feel comfortable in the law school, don't feel welcome here," Bryner said in the lecture, which was recorded on Zoom and obtained by Landry, who posted an excerpt of it online. "And so I want you all to think a little bit about why that is."
Translation: "If you voted for Trump, black people think you want to lynch them so you should be ashamed of yourself for voting for Trump."

Put your thinking cap on and come to your own conclusion. There won’t always be an AlextheBodacious to hold your hand through everything. You got this.

I think he is whiney but that’s no crime. The professor is saying don’t be an a-hole. We shouldn’t go out of our way to be assholes.

Is a whiny pussy who didn’t practice law for any considerable amount of time. Douchebags like this can’t survive outside the ivy tower among working adults and they know it, so they have to act like little bitch tyrants in the classroom.
As an LSU law grad who suffered through plenty of diversity bullshite and Ken Levy’s lectures about why he was morally superior for being a vegetarian, I have never and will never give a single red cent in donation money to that institution.
frick him and frick them, collectively.

lol no lectures in universities ok. Show where the teacher grades Trump voters more negative than the rest and this is a story. Professors are paid for their opinions in addition to coursework. God forbid we have students being exposed to ideas different from their own.
Lectures are meant for the class topics. Shaming students for unrelated political viewpoints is inappropriate.
