JBE is right about something. Rispone simply won't (or can't) say what he will do.

And I voted for Rispone in the primary. However, I don't look at everything through partisan glasses.

He simply doesn't know anything about how state government works. He doesn't know where the money goes, or how much is coming in. It's nothing but national talking points. At least Jindal knew the budget backward and forward. Rispone has no idea what's in it. He can't say what his policy positions are because he doesn't have any. I have been watching him for months and am convinced of this fact.

That said, is he better than JBE? Probably, if only for his hatred of the plaintiff lawyers.

If you're in Louisiana (or most states, really) I can't see how this is a negative.

Agreed, and we already know what JBE will do. We have seen it. We also know he will lie.

Time to give someone else a shot.

I do know Dumbell said he wouldn't raise taxes previously. Lied in stating what he would do.
So what's your point?

JBE isn’t that sharp.

We are losing population and there’s little if any job growth, but he says we are leading the Southeast.

The highway backlog jumped from 13 Billion to 14 Billion over the last four years but JBE says Rispone has no plan to bring that down.

In early 2018 JBE wanted to continue the temporary one cent sales tax he passed in 2016. Republicans blocked him, and in May of 2018 they compromised on a .45 increase of about 500 million dollars in revenue. Guess what? A year later the budget “expert” now has a 500 million dollar surplus.

The guys spewing nonsense, but since he is dressed for the part people believe him.

He's a smart guy. I doubt this is too hard to figure out.

JBE looks like the mutated result of multiple generations of incest.

Rispone is not JBE. That's good enough for me.

Therein lies the problem. It's such a convoluted mess thanks to years of abuse at the hands of trial attorneys from both sides of the aisle.

It's done that way for a reason. To keep the populace confused and complacent and to keep outsiders from challenging their authority.

Do you know what happens to a guy like Rispone who has no clue what he's doing? He follows special interests. Everyone coming to him with a hand out and "explaining" to him how good their cause is will be able to convince him of that because he doesn't know any better.

If you people are blaming Louisiana's woes on one 4-year governor, you all are shallower than I thought. R's and D's keep getting elected and nothing changes. Rispone will get elected and nothing will change. Then some idiot after him will get elected and you'll get more of the same. You keep relying on Republicans and Democrats to pull this state out of it's mess, then act surprised when it doesn't happen. Wake up people.

Did you see where Edwards told Rispone he was trying to buy influence when he (Rispone) contributed to Jindal?

He knows that because that’s how he (Edwards) raises funds.

He will do as Grover Norquist and Lane Grigsby request of him.
You have to admit Rispone's take on finding money for the $14 billion infrastructure back log was hilarious. I'm not raising the gas tax. He was ok with Jindal allowing the LSP and other state agencies to take funds for administrative uses away from the TIME program. I do believe it was JBE that stopped that practice. Again, just trust Rispone. He can magically create the $14 billion needed to fix our roads and bridges without raising any taxes. This is more than Fuzzy Math here folks.

Lemme splain it to you, Slippy. There is a term in logic called 'presumption shift.'
It is better to try what you don't know if what you do know is bad.
JBE is term limited if he wins. That means if he wants a future in politics as a democrat he's gonna have to turn hard left.
He will say 'I've evolved on the issue.'
