This is a true self hating cuck. Sits in the corner with his guitar while his girl gets a dirty south train gb ran on her.

He'd also be the type of dad that would be proud of his daughter for being used as a recruiting ho to help the team get the best players.

Never would have heard of this person if it hadn’t been posted. Will likely never hear of them again, unless posted here.

It's almost like these people are mindless and just do what their PR team tells them to do in an effort to promote their brand.

The irony is probably 95% of Isbell's income derives from people who disagree with his silly politics.

Never heard of him, but being leery of a venue because somebody you don't like also performed there is peak snowflake.

I’ve been a big fan and enjoyed his music for a long time. But he needs to just shut the frick up already.

I don’t give a shite about his political beliefs or his views, nor do I want to hear about them.

My wife and I have been wanting to go see one of his shows at the Rhyman for a while, but we’ll pass now. And that’s too bad for him, not us.

This is a great country and I’m sick and tired of idiots like him telling us how terrible it is.

Mere Haggard said it best, “If you don’t love it, leave it!”

This is the second time in two days I read an article about this dude. Before that I had no idea who the frick he was. I guess he has to fall back on political rhetoric since his music sucks arse.

I don't listen to, follow or even know much about Jason Isbell, but any chance this author is tossing gas on the fire to elevate his career and trying to get clicks?

Probably not, as Jason's comments reveal he's not too bright.

If Jason seems to think that having some sort of *vax mandate for the venues he plays in is avant-garde, then he's a bigger idiot than most entertainers.

And entertainers are usually dirt stupid to begin with.

Never a wise move to out Dixie-Chick the Dixie-Chicks.

The Drive-By Truckers were great regardless of their loony-left politics. I've really tried to like Isbell's solo stuff but it's entirely forgettable.

More accurately, they started off great and have gotten progressively more Batshit Crazy brand of Liberal over the years, especially Patterson, to the point that’s about all that’s left.
Isbelll needs to start drinking again and stop being such a little co-opted NPC bitch boy.

That's an impressive mixture of self loathing pomposity. I didn't realize it was even possible.

Then by all means, you fat fricking pussy, take a real stand and never set foot in the Mother Church again.

You know that a man is incapable of satisfying a woman if he tells you he’s an Isbell fan.

Crazy man upset at inanimate object. News at 10.

quote:

“I don’t want the Ryman telling me I can’t say my frickin’ liberal, progressive shite from the stage.” He added, “So that is where the First Amendment comes into play.”

And he’s obviously not very smart.

If you’re going to use the phrase “hit different” in an article that I’m supposed to take seriously, it’s only going to make me ignore it completely.

He got there through torqued rhetoric, saying things like “Arabs like to bomb crap and live in open sewage.”

I've yet to meet an honest progressive. That was a one off comment he made when he was like 20, was removed almost immediately, and ever since he's said that doesn't accurately represent his feelings on the matter.

That didn't launch his career and that's not part of his rhetoric.

And he once tweeted on the anniversary of Trayvon Martin’s birthday that the teenager would be alive “if he hadn’t taken a man’s head and beaten it on the pavement before being shot.”

I mean, that is a good way to get shot...
