But remember, if you're allergic to it, you shouldn't take it.

Wouldn't banning the ads violate the First Amendment?

I side with freedom on this. You can be fat but no taxpayer money should be used to prolong your life or treat your health condition until you fall below a certain weight threshold

Yes,

WARNING, if your lips, tongue, nose, face swell up and you have hives or other rashes and you can't breathe and you pass out and maybe wake up

DON'T TAKE THE MEDICATION RIGHT AWAY AGAIN consult your doctor to have a brain.

Or when you call the doctors office and they prerecord- IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY AND YOU ARE DEAD OR DYING HANG UP NOW AND CALL 911. Press 1 for this Press 2 for that

I kinda like seeing that chubby chick bounce around. I wonder what her condition is after the director yells “cut” tho.

While I do agree the ads are ridiculous I do find it amazing the amount of hatred towards diabetics. Yes a large portion of them are significantly overweight and their own doing. However they are numerous diabetics (Type2) that are not. I am 60. 6’3” tall, weigh 195 lbs, exercise on my exercise bike 5 days a week, do light resistance training, unvaxxed and developed Type 2.

I got COVID when I went to watch Joe Burrow lead the Bengals to their 1st playoff win in 30+ years over the Raiders. Put me down for a month. As my biological father was a non overweight Type 2 diabetic, after 40 I monitored my glucose. During COVID my glucose spiked to over 350 for more than a few weeks. Took months to come down to normal levels. Got COVID again a year later, spiked to 250.

For the past 18 months since 2nd COVID it has remained at unhealthy levels. Metformin didn’t work. So meeting with endocrinologist soon. My guess is one of these drugs is coming my way.

My triglycerides are 101–well below what’s desired.
My cholesterol total is 53–well below the 200 desired
My blood pressure is 117/74.

So not all Type 2s are as everyone thinks.

So can I say COVID caused it given my biological father was diabetic versus genetics? No. Is it because I didn’t take care of myself-I can say no.

Agree completely but a little known fact is the ads for as much for the doctors as they are the patients. It’s all brand awareness. But with the ability to target marketing to people’s phones in surprised these companies still use this broad based technique.

Not all diabetics are fat. I am a non- fatty and I hate these ads. The first one with the fat one dancing and changing clothes pissed me off. Mine was hereditary but I still lost weight, exercised, watched my diet and got my A1C down to 5.4. But I am still a diabetic. Magic pills have side effects but what really makes me mad is that they imply it is OK to not try to do things to improve your health. Just take this pill and you can be fat and happy.

Then some have Type1 diabetes. They did nothing wrong.

Hey now. Daisy sour cream only has 2 ingredients. We should be applauding them.

Compare their ingredients list to any other national or store brand out there.

I never understood how these ads always say something like "ask your doctor", shouldn't your doctor be the one recommending medications to you?

Bc people will shop around until they find a doc to give them what the internet said they need or what someone they know took and it helped them even when their condition was different. The internet was a mistake

When was pharmaceutical advertising legalized?

Was our Constitutional rights to free speech impinged upon prior to that?

Is it an infringement on Constitutional rights to freedom of speech to require truth in marketing laws? Or to require side effects to be stated in the advertising?
