Elba is a middle aged Englishman from Hackney, London and can absolutely crush playing suave and badass. As a lifelong Bond fam, I've never had a problem with Elba as a suggestion for Bond.

I wish they'd give Henry Cavill a shot. He was badass in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare playing the guy that Fleming based Bond on.

He's too old for the role. He's 53. Need Bond to be late 30's to early 40's, then bow out at 53-55. He missed his opportunity since Craig held onto it for 15 years.

I think they can reach on the age. A 35 year old actor in the 60s looked 50. These days 50 year old actors look 35.
Plus Bond lives hard so I don't think looking a bit aged is outside the realm.
