If a person is in jail, they are not committing violence on the street.'
So, the idea that it doesn't work is moronic.
It 100 percent works. But the people that are committing the crimes are being allowed to commit too many crimes before they are put in prison, and then they are not locked up for long enough.

Seems to be another example where there is more compassion for the criminal than for the victim.
We already live in a regularly unjust society where crime is not punished as it ought to be, and it encourages lawlessness.

I actually agree with him on incarceration being ineffective. I prefer more immediate forms of punishment. Jails are expensive and far too humane for violent criminals.

Well, if you lock up a bunch of violent criminals but you still have violent criminals on the street, maybe you should lock up more violent criminals. The answer isn't less jails, it's more jails.

It's racist that 13% commit 50% of violent crimes against non blacks and >70% against blacks. Blacks hate blacks.
