Sad to see. Why is New York not on the list? San Francisco and New York are two of my favorite vacation spots. I still go, but now I feel like I need to take an armed guard with me.

New Orleans has its problems, but it is more normal than most of those places.

I wasn't sure if it belonged there or not. You think it does?

Dating in big cities was amazing, but social media killed that for conservative guys in 2017 or so - you’d either not date in cities or pretend to be moderate / liberal

Cities have always been cess pools. This isn't a recent thing.

Cities have always been cess pools compared to rural areas, but what's going on in San Francisco, L.A., Portland, and Seattle is not the same old same old. This is something new

Man this is straight facts. I’m ashamed to say I definitely played the moderate/liberal card while dating women around that time. Even back then it was just innocent fun to help with certain women, but now the threat is to real for me to put on that act.

This is not by accident . The same people that are being suggested to be moved into areas of single dwelling households utilizing public housing moved from the rural areas for work . The “white flight “ resulted in a urban congestion with bad education and ironically lower job opportunities . All through history large cities resulted in similar destruction , who knew that this time it wouldn’t work .

Add Houston to your list of shitholes. More violent crimes this year than Chiraq, activists judged and DA not to mention our corrupt Mayor

Dallas and Austin need to be on the list as well. Houston is the only livable large city in Texas, but it's not the same now as before the pandemic, and has really declined in ~20 years.

Its a very simple formula to ruin a city. All of these shitholes have the same general timeline in common.

1 - productive and prosperous people invest in an area to build businesses and their lives with homes and everything that accompanies that.

2 - as cities thrive due to the productive and prosperous people, there are government social programs initiated to help low income and low IQ groups, aka charity administered by the government.

3 - free or subsidized food and shelter allows unproductive people with low income and/or low IQ to live amongst prosperous and productive people.

4 - prosperous and productive people gradually leave and invest where there are fewer low income and IQ groups.

5 - the city once filled predominantly with prosperous and productive people is eventually totally replaced with unproductive people, crime, and poverty and inevitably becomes a shithole.

Subsidizing the existence of people that cannot or will not support themselves has destroyed these cities.

NC used to be like SC. New Yorkers escaped the taxes to the coastal NC towns and Charlotte/Raleigh; and brought their politics with them.
