I think he's partly getting out in front of the messaging here.
The Democrat base has been sharply divided on this stuff and to a lesser extent Republicans too. The media/entertainment/communications machine is heavily Jewish and pro-Israel so they are going to spin the results as a repudiation of MAGA populism and conservative values and all of the other stuff they hate.
They played Trump like a fiddle - got him to go all in on Israel first knowing they would get everything they secretly wanted while Trump and Republican candidates suffered the fallout which creates the added benefit of them getting a far left domestic and social agenda.
Vance is pointing that out so it gets out and is heard. Perhaps distancing himself from the trainwreck too for the sake of his own future, but that's understandable.
