He doesn't need to. If they apply the law fairly and equally they all go to prison.

I don't want weaponization. I just want competence and doing their job based on legitimate investigations that could include people of any political affiliation.

I guess it matters what you mean by weaponization.

Does weaponization mean going after your political enemies with the ends justifying the means? Or does it mean investigating the outgoing administration for crimes they may have committed.

Investigating Joe Biden for selling influence through Hunter is not revenge.

Opening up an investigation into the Russia Collusion investigation and finding that laws were broken is not revenge.

I do not want to investigate the shite out of Merrick Garland and charge him with real estate valuation crimes. I want him punished if he politicized the investigations into Trump (and his supporters) and used unethical and illegal means to do so.

Ditto the FBI. I want to know why they sat on Hunter's laptop for so long. I want to know why they proceeded with the Russia Collusion investigation after they knew the Steele Dossier was phony. Who made those decisions? Why didn't whistleblowers speak out about it? If they did, why did they go unheard and were they punished?

I don't want the objective to be that we throw this guy or that guy in jail. I want the objective to be to clean out the people who have been abusing power. If they have the immunity of a Presidential pardon, then I want their crimes investigated and published so those people live in shame.

All good points. The difference is that the Dems fabricated, or used angles of the law to prosecute Conservatives, while blatantly breaking laws because they did not believe that they would lose power, and therefore would not be prosecuted. Now, they are scrambling to create the mantra of “WEAPONIZATION” to create the impression that it is vengeful Trump, rather than facing REAL crimes JUSTICE.

I'd be a bit more content if he razed them to the ground, streamlined and started over anew.

The DOJ has long been a "weapon" employed against CRIMINAL enterprises. The problem arises when the Rule of Law/Equal Justice principle is abandoned, and this is likely the point of the OP.

Those who abandoned Equal Justice in preventing Trump's election are in essence, criminals, and their prosecution is not a form of partisan weaponization, but true Equal Justice. Of course the same people who abandoned Equal Justice to get OMB will deny this, as they have proved they have no qualms re doing so.

So, we turn onto the 'road to perdition', and an inevitable showdown. The streets were on fire the last time Trump ran the show, and he never challenged their burning and looting violence. I think the 'protests' will have to be challenged this time, and that will exponentially expand into a wider and more gloves off scenario. I hope I'm wrong.

Hell I want CAMPS!!!

I want a large gallows built on the National Mall.

The Obamas, the Clintons, the Bidens, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, and a few others on it at the same time. They are all traitors who are guilty of treason.

Yes. He won't. He only has four years to get real stuff done. But you can believe in Santa Claus if you want to embrace a myth.

Yes it’s wrong. Sure it was done to him, but if he goes on to continue the practice, when the political pendulum swings back to the left, it will be used against us. Best to cut out all the bullshite now.

Let’s think on this. They wanted us in camps, denied medical treatment, availability to work or be in public during Covid. They threw around reeducation programs, theft of our property, families and future for wrong thinking. The introduced destruction of American lifestyles from every angle so I have no problem going against every last POS, but do so legally. Maybe a little less legal in some cases

Going after those who committed real crime isn't weaponizing, it's pursuing justice.

Yes. That's what democrats do. We don't need to be Democrats.

What we need to is hold people accountable to the existing laws. You leak classified SC information, federal prison. You sleep with a Chinese spy, federal prison. You destroy classified information, federal prison.

Where they have done this, we should have plenty of evidence to prosecute without weaponizing.

We don't need to fabricate evidence to support our case or destroy evidence that hurts our case. We just need to follow the law.
